Re: your dh setup
Yeah most of the guys who grabbed one over here opted for the 3/16" decks, I got the 1/4" though. Luge eh? The Rogers luges look amazing from what I've seen of them. I'm sure if the boards are any indication that the quality is topnotch.

yah, i cant wait for the luge, i started using a friends Research Gravity Sports luge... and got addicted after that. i think its sooo much fun.
im picking up the 1/4 inch deck with flat ends, and a edge wend to fool arround with if i want. i loved fooling arround with board setup when i had mine. i rode it sooo much in the short time i had it... got in as much time as i could before the snow came.
im coming to Toronto and barrie a few times this year. any good spots not to far from Torronto? its no problem for me to bring my stuff there on the plane.

Barrie I don't know too much about, from what I've heard you can only really do some cruising and maybe some mild hills. If you come to Toronto there are plenty of places for you to skate and sessions are pretty regular once the season starts up again. You can really skate a bit of whatever you want and there are loads of people that skate just about every discipline. Check out ontariolongboarding.com under the sessions area. There are regular DH sessions held usually once or twice a week just outside the city but still accessible by train. They can get pretty big sometimes (30+ people) but usually its around 10-15 people per session. It'd definitely be worth it to bring you gear.

well when you no longer want it, you know who to PM

Re: your dh setup

my current high speed board. lengthened the wheelbase. so far i like it alot like that. and the speedvents are the grippiest wheel ive ridden for DH.
my other speedboard is a voodoo with DH trucks,in back, R2's up front with 180 hangers all around, lime big zigs and some generic abec 7 bearings with no shields.

Soon to be..(by Feb 26)
Ian Comishin
Tricked out Crails. Grade 8 Kingpins, flat washers, custom lathed green/black Radikal Bushings, Yummm.
79a 85mm White Speedvents
Biltins.
Yess. The lath job will be done by LB1, it will be lathed to look sorta like a fraken Jimz bushing. I saw a job he did on a green rad bushing. Looks sweet. I should get all this with B Day money on the the 26th.

Re: your dh setup
try softer bushings. you dont seem that heavy, and for a dropped/flush board it doesnt seem like you'd need green/black.
try red/blue

Hey, i remeber saying double wide flashbacks would be cool in one of those threads about Chaputs double flys and someone said it'd be usless as there are loads of 70mm traction wheels....
Looks pretty frickin useful to me! Nice board man.

Re: your dh setup
Thanks, chief. I'm working on some more setups to try based around the double-wide Flashbacks, we'll see what works best
