Haven't gotten the chance to ride it downhill yet, took it out for a spin around the neighborhood but it's so sandy I couldn't turn without sliding out (it is apparently necessary to spill 1 ton of sand per mile when there is snow on the ground in Washington, and then it is left there for weeks until the city finally decides to use the street sweepers they paid so much money for).
My art major friend is going to do something sick on the bottom, I can't wait to see what she ends up painting/drawing/whatever.
What's the widht close to the back truck? it looks like standing platform could have been extended back a little further just my 2 cents, no offence what so ever
Nice looking deck tho, I bet with the Smokies you will have tons of traction.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

Nice looking deck tho, I bet with the Smokies you will have tons of traction.
The little triangles and squares are where I place my feet when riding. If you have your front foot up near the front truck, you'd have to either have a very odd tuck or extremely long legs to need to use the back end. It's about 7" right where it cuts in and tapers off to about 4.5" parallel with the wheels.
The board is sick, I love the feel, but I can't seem to avoid wheelbite up front with the Smokies. I've tried 1/8" risers but I don't really want to add any more, I may just end up throwing them on a board with fat cutouts so I don't have to worry about it. But as it's currently set up, it gets insane traction. Took it up to about 25 in a sloped parking lot and it was extremely hard to get it to slide out, and once it did it wanted to hook back up immediately. I'd go ride more but it's raining cats and dogs here in the Pacific Northwest right now...

Re: your dh setup
guys i need help with your expertise!
i have a revenger from a trade now (thanks kraken)and i want to use it for just freeriding and messing around with the occasional hill bombing from time to time
its either gonna be a randal 50/42 setup (which i like because i can flip whenever)
or paris which a 42 randal baseplate in the back
or the mysteriousness of crails (never tried 'em yet but i hear their top bushing seat is funky)
i plan on putting on lime freerides btw
help me out or i cant post the pic of this setup!

Re: your dh setup
i have some crails and i love them. After a bushing change, they are great for basically everything. I love the 45 degree angle, but i really want to try them on 50 degree randal BP. I say go for it as long as you arent dropping them through. Im sure there will be a landslide vote for the randals, but im just putting it out there, that crails are a lot of fun, and very stable.
