A 42 degree randal plate and a paris hangar will give you an extremely low truck and it is the ideal setup for a topmount, lest you go precision. I ran this for at least 7 or 8 months 'till i got smokies for my avenger... loved them. Try that and if you aren't happy... you have problems.
crails are by far my favorite truck, but not for a topmount, they sit a bit high.

[Derv] 7:53 pm: mm, what if i made a board out of diamonds?
[speshlspeclsteak] 7:54 pm: you should make a board out of your jew gold
rush, you can flip the screws if you dont feel like filing it down.
Props to the quiver, what kind of grip tape is that?
Nah, they're not hitting the screws (either way, I'll probably be trimming them soon). It's hitting the inside of the drop through cutout on the board. You can see the worn spot on the side of the hanger, and the indent it has made on the board.
That tape is Stoked Skateboard's 'insanely grippy' stuff. There aren't any markings on the back, so I don't know who manufactures it. This stuff really is insanely grippy. It was a pain to cut and apply though!
i have some crails and i love them. After a bushing change, they are great for basically everything. I love the 45 degree angle, but i really want to try them on 50 degree randal BP. I say go for it as long as you arent dropping them through. Im sure there will be a landslide vote for the randals, but im just putting it out there, that crails are a lot of fun, and very stable.
im pretty sure you need a pivot cup change to setup a crail hangar with a randal bp
ohh alright im scratching out the randal idea just because my little brother already has a pair and i can just ride that whenever i want. i want to try a setup that i've never tried yet
so its down to paris' w/ 42 plates
or crails
this could go down to a coin flip guys
but im seriously considering the paris' just because i know i have a randal 45 bp lying around somewhere
and also im modding my revenger top to fit a bs noseguard i have lying around too lol

how low? the randal hangar with a 42 degree randal plate was pretty low as it seems when i look at mine...
ive been wanting to make my nemesis as low as possible lol i might get some paris
low. at least my a decent amount of mm's
the main reason to run paris hangars instead of randal hangars besides them being lower is that the bushing seat is probably one of the best designed bushing seat of any truck.

what!?!
crails topmounted are the best! so agile at speed yet so stable. i had them dropped through and liked them but once i topmounted them, it was like a whole different set of trucks.
i like 42 degree randals dropped through, with 1/8" of riser so it's a little lower. that's what i run on my Roggs Rumrunner with 75mm 80a Otangs. it dug into the deck itself a bit but now that it's broken in (sounds horrible i know ) it is a sick setup.

any need to flip a hangar? im runnin a Rayne nemesis with 42 randal plates and flipped 180mm randal hangars
i have only scratched the bottom of it twice over speedbumps. im just tryin to get it low as hell, to point where im considering gettin some 66mm EW road rages

flipping a paris hangar does nothing. just keep it how it is!!! its such a great truck combo!!!

After riding Crails for DH for about 9 months, I would recommend avoiding them. They are solid for speed, but just not that fun to ride imo. Randal 42 stock or with Paris hangars will be a fun ride. Or just go Paris stock if you want a really agile ride.
