Re: your dh setup
okay, i got a quick question. what is the significance or application for putting 3 trucks on your board? like the boards with 1 truck in front and 2 trucks in the back.

Re: your dh setup
so in an actual tournament, you could never race a board with 3 or more trucks on it?
so why would anyone ride it? i mean yeah it looks cool and i kinda guessed it would be a lot more stable.....but, idk. i would get a Dh board in hopes of competing someday, and a 3 truck board would only decrease your skill. its like using steroids i think. haha. yeah you could bomb the hill with that thing but try it the right way right?

Re: your dh setup
What if one of the back truck wobbles, the other doesn't?

Re: your dh setup
that's Chapput and probbly the only place you will see that there are a lot of people who are very anti 6 wheelers trying to put an end to that

Re: your dh setup
ISGA does not allow it in races. If a race is not ISGA run, then its up to the organizers.

Re: your dh setup
I think the slalom world is the only place where you'll find 6 wheelers being considered for bans. While most every event I've been to welcomes making fun of six wheelers, I've yet to see an event ban them.

Re: your dh setup
ISSA has banned them IGSA has not (except for classic Luge) but other than Chaput you would be hard pressed to find anyone racing 6 wheelers....

Re: your dh setup
6 wheelers are dope, i rode one for awhile. You usually want to run the extra truck up front. DH is different than slalom. You want the grip in the front for DH for more controlled slides and better traction. In slalom you want it in back because thats where alot of power is going and it needs to be sticking.
They are generally heavier because of the extra trucks and wheels, so agility is low, but you get alot of momentum and grip from the board when setup correctly.
IGSA allows them, people jsut dont use them because they dont knwo much about them, and people are picky.
And they are hard to slide, all that extra grip doesnt like to be thrown into a pendy, or a predrift. In a DH application, they are meant for a course with little drifting, where grip is key.
