Re: your dh setup
Speedfiend,
nice setup man. I have a Rogers as well, never thought of setting the deck with the ends mounted underneath. I was curious, how do you find the deck turns with the luge hangers and 35 degree plates, dropped through? Still responsive?

i ran mine close to the same with the end plates mounted at the top and the trucks topmounted. i had a wedged front however, but i flipped the front hanger and left the back normal with luge trucks and 35 deg plates. was still plenty responcive with Jimz Bushings and the 3/16ths deck..... i loved that board, cant wait to get one in again.

Very responsive, I have set the deck up a whole bunch of ways and this is almost as grippy as a top mount and then if I wanna tuck stuff I really dont have to worry.
The board is still low enough for easy footbraking.
Only thing I might do is put the deck spacing bars on top of the deck. Reason for this is I like a place for my front foot to wedge against when riding DH. It would look really stupid though.
I will let you know if I like it.
That deck is so sweet. For the price its a steal.

Re: your dh setup
Good to hear, I was planning on setting mine up with Luge hangers if Randal ever decides to get their asses in gear. Although I might just end up with Jimz cuz I've been waiting for ages already. BTW the spacer used as a toe stop is a good idea, I'd use it as well.
The customizability of the Rogers decks alone is IMO definitely worth the price of admission.

Do you mean by short WB that a long WB version of the S9 race exists ?!

you'd better believe it is.
it has the perfect width for my foot (size 11) and the perfect concave for locking into turns. carves really well with loosened trucks, too. the only other dh boards i've rode are the landy dh race and evo, and i like this board a LOT more. more spacious all around, and a smoother, more secure ride.

Re: your dh setup
Fred,
The long S9 Race should be about 42 inches long.
42 inches long, 10 inches wide and a 32.5 inch wheelbase
The shorter S9 Race is 38 inches long, 10 inches wide and a wheelbase of 30 to 31 inches.
And I have read that Gnar-Dog has a 38inch race with 11 plies, and Confusious has a short one with only 8 plies.
I'm trying to get ahold of Jeff, the S9 downhill team manager, to get the specs on both versions, I'll post what I find out....
Although, it might be easer, and cheaper, to get a Bombhillls and razor of the tail so it will be a little over 40 inches long with a 33.75 inch wheelbase.....
The Dregs Alpine would be cool to cut shorter, but I suck at drilling straight holes.....
That's enough for the thread hijack....

Re: your dh setup
PS: my deck isn't warped, it's the not-so-centered angle i shot it at. you can see by lookin' at the different views of the wheels in the front
