Re: your dh setup
i just got sick of having a bunch of extra wood on the tail, so i cut it off. i like the more compact package since the revenger is already kind of big.

i think it makes it a better shape too. someone on here had a flushmount maple revenger with a chopped tail and its tits.

i believe that was castertown. i also believe it got smashed in an accident. i also also believe it was most certainly a badass example of a dh board.

I run 4prez or zigs for a bit more grip, but the smokers seem to have a very nice drift

my reflex bushings arrived today shortly after posting this picture. i'm now running black jimz bottoms, 89a reflex top back, 86a reflex top front, pretty loose. super sick, the lean maxes out just before wheel bite, and its incredibly reboundy.

Are your rear axles bent on the evo?

i think that the extreme dewedging of the back truck has something to do with the grippiness. i think i read somewhere that a low angle rear geometry helps the back wheels to track in a more grippy manner. idk if that's at all true, but i remember reading it somewhere on the 'fish, and i do know from experience that evos do actually feel like they have a good amount of grip in corners.

from what i have ridden of them, evo's aren't great in the grip department, especially in the rear! the dewedging seems to increase the drift of the rear end.

from what i've noticed, the whole board would tend to drift--not just the back. my guess is it's from the board being dropped so low, but that's just my guess.
How's the dropped/wedged-dewedged board coming along? It looks insanely sick! I've been holding out on trying a Nemesis or Switch because I definitely want that Glyde when it's available
