Would you rather have your front or your back drift out?

double!
and yes soft in the front. thats where all your weight is and that is where the grip should be. harder in the rear for easier drifts

That doesn't make much sense.... if all of your weight is in the front you wont need a softer duro in the front....

Re: your dh setup
no... i'm pretty sure its hard in front, soft in back.
you want the grip in the back so you DON't slip out, but with a higher roll speed of a harder duro wheel in the front.
hard front,
soft back

exactly. when you put weight on something, it has less tendency to slide...

Ya, but still. Picture yourself cornering, weight not directly over the board... What would you rather slip out... the front or the back? If the front slipped out you would lose all control... If the back slipped out you'd slow down just as much, but you'd still have control...

Re: your dh setup
DH is the opposite of Slalom isn't it
Slalom's focus is grip in the rear b/c all your weight is on the front wheel and your weight is centered over the board. THEREFORE:
softer wheels in the back
harder wheels in the front
Same concept as for 3x trucks
2x trucks in the back
1x truck in the front
DH is the opposite b/c your weight is no long center over the board. you want to maintain control of the board you need the front to grip. THEREFORE:
Softerwheels in the front
Harder wheels in the back
Same concept as for 3x trucks
2x trucks in the front
1x truck in the back.
Karrot has his wheels in a diagonnal... well atleast in his last picture
pink and green bigzigs
pink is on the heelside rear wheel and toe side front wheel.

Re: your dh setup
Well, good to know I guess? lol
But I'll never have this problem because I don't run split wheels.
... never had the front slide out before the back end though.

i disagree, the back is the thing that always slides, the front shouldn't be doing so unless u have screwed ur setup and have understeer. the front should outturn the back causing the back to drift not the front therefore grip back speed front
