I haven't really had a chance to ride it yet. I took it out last Sunday but with the Randal DH plate on the back it just doesn't turn at all for the medium speeds we were going so I rode the pintail instead. I changed the rear baseplate to a regular Randal R2 plate now and riding around the street I can tell it's much better. I can even use it as a regular flat land board now since the rear will turn, too. I'm sure with this truck setup it'll still be fine for speeds I'm likely to go anyway. I'll try it out on some hills soon. The board feels really comfortable to me and plenty solid.
As for the cosemtics, it looks good in pictures but in reality the paint isn't so great. And it doesn't appear to be sealed with anything so it's kind of flaky. For sure I will sand the sides of the board because I just don't like the look of painted sides (i like to see the wood), and most likely I will end up sanding off the whole graphic and maybe just restaining it (i have some colored stains now) and spar urethane like the pintail, and toss a landyachtz sticker on there if any exist.
