Nemesis
Randal 50/50 with venom barrel bottom stock randal tall cone top

I gotta agree with the aesthetics of comet boards my girlfriend doesn't like the looks of them at all... but she only cares about aesthetics because she doesn't ride (and yes she does understand function over form in riding, that is why she loves my nemesis). That being said they are sooooooooooo comfy. When I owned a pagan I was riding it with one of my friends and the first thing he said when he jumped on was "I love the concave!" My problem with comet boards are finding the right truck. I thought my FSM (proto) was okay with bears, and good with randals, but I didn't really love it till I put the core/indy hybrids on it. If I had different trucks at the time I might have kept my pagan... although it was a bit large for my liking.
On other news, I would recommend you try some 42* plates on that nemesis. PURE awesomeness. And you have a really nice set up.

Re: your dh setup
that's kind of sad, to automatically dismiss a board/company by the way it looks, i understand not liking the shape, but seriously the graphic is just ink, for all you know comet boards could be the best boards you will ever ride ad you could win every race you enter on one, too bad you'll never know because you won't ride it for the graphic...

Re: your dh setup
I don't really like comet graphics... They're shaped are alright. I won't ride an ugly shaped board, no matter how it rides. Take the Ghoti Manatee. UGLIEST BOARD EVER. I would never ride it. Much love to who-ever is behind Ghoti though, he makes good stuff.

I ♥ my Voodoo XL. Hm. What makes Comets ugly? I remember when people thought Kebbeks were ugly, too. Two of the sickest board companies on the planet. Whatever. Comets and Kebbeks are hot.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: no skateboard is ugly. Some may be prettier (to certain people) than others, I guess. Reminds me of an old saying about the ...uh...female genatalia.....

Old pic before I swapped bushinz but this thing is a blast. I have no Idea how the wheels do what they do, but they are THE grippiest, SMOOTHEST sliding wheel I've ever ridden. Completely predictable and wear suuuper slow. I've been steadily thrashing the board for around 4 months, hardcore DH and freeriding, drifting and sliding, mobbing and.... mobbing and I've only shaved around two mm off the outer lip, around 5 on the inside.
I was skeptical because of the "hawgs" label, and all the hawgs I've ridden (round lipped) are slow as balls dipped in syrup but these wheels are fast and extremely... awesome. I've heard nothing but good things about the new, solid 'thane.

Who you callin' ugly?
I really dig this graphic, though. Trippy as hell. I wouldn't mind it on my MM, or any of my boards for that matter.

Re: your dh setup
After riding my Loki for a few hours today (nothing too crazy, just a roughly 35mph hill with some sweepers and a residential corner) and it feels a little short.
Anybody else have any complaints about the size of the standing platform? I'm about 6'.
That said, the concave/rocker/shape is SICK. I'd probably take a Pagan if somebody were to offer to trade, but I think it's just because I'm not used to it.

Sick. They grip until you WANT them to slide. Very responsive. They slide verry smooth and dont chatter at all.
