maguns for tech runs

i know it sounds funny but dont believe that maguns dont turn. I removed the brass washer and replaced it with a soft tracker cone and the trucks came alive! they carve as hard as randals, standup slide with ease, pump, drift, and are rediculously stable. stock maguns are probably the worst truck i have ever setup. with some rearranging and bushing changes, they feel great.

it sucks that you have to mod such expensive trucks to make them ride decent, but they are SICK afterwards. And it's not an invasive/destructive mod at all. I love my Maguns--they're carvy yet stable after the metal cup thing is replaced with a bushing (I use an indy tall cone) and the washers are replaced with nylon ones. Also, venom barrels=win.

yeah true but you can get more lean taking it out. i think its fine the way i run it so i'm not gunna worry about it. speshl people drop money on things all the time. kahas = randals practically. The main differences lie in the construstion of the truck. the offset design and true 8mm axles in maguns provide much more grip and when you do break loose it feels less choppy because the lack of bearing slop. And besides, i got my maguns cheaper than most people get smokies.

i know precisions man and i know the reasons why people get em(ive got zealous' and ridden kahas and smokies) i just dont see the point of buying a truck and then messing with it so it rides in a way thats intirely the opposite of how the guys who designed it made em.
