haha as soon as its setup rest assured that there will be board porn aplenty. The deck should be here any day now...the trucks are going to be awhile though.

I'm praying that Chris will have them done and shipped by June 8th (leaving for the Vermont race). BTW...Chris is a tremendous guy to do business with. Fast, accomodating, responsive, and trustworthy. Not to mention his product rocks and he's a ton of fun to skate with. Despite everything on his plate right now he has still commited to doing his best to get me my stuff in time to race with. Big props to his trucks and his business attributes.

I took a bad fall on 5/24/2008 at Mt. Baker, went off the road and fell down the side of the mountain. I went into a coma, badly broke my pelvis, lacerated my liver and almost died on the mountain AND later in the hospital. The rehabilitation therapists had to teach me how to do everything again...everything.

I survived that mountain because of my helmet...WEAR ONE and send your family to the hospital, not the morgue.

After eading through most of the entrys ive noticed that some of you guys are using the Randal DH trucks. I just recently bought a pair, and compared to the original trackers that were on my board it seems like the board sits a little high. Granted i still have the angled risers on the deck. I havent gotten out to ride it yet, but are angled risers something you are supposed to disregard when using the Randal DH trucks because of their design?

    Thanks for your advice,

    Wes

Yo stinee, we'll be riding almost identical setups except I put smokeys on mine. I would have wanted to put some confederates on mine were they in existence when i put this board together. Enjoy some pics:

I'm loving this board right now. I took it out the a local hill the other day for nice warmup for the season. It railed some off camber sweepers going 35-40 on rough uneven pavement perfectly. The rebound through corners is sooo nice too.

all inverted kingpin trucks, including your randal dh's will sit higher than trackers, its not something to worry about. angled risers usually arent recommended on randals, what deck are you running these trucks on?

haha, its funny you asked that. right now they are on a flexdex pro 40. i recently got back into longboarding and my girlfirend bought it for me for my 21st bday. i went out riding and started re-searching a little more and really started getting into speedboarding. So as of now im using the flexdex as my speedboard. ive had it up to 35 with the trackers but im looking to push for more speed, thus i need more stability. im basically just getting all the smaller components untill i have the cash available for a rayne demonseed deck.

Taking your pro40 up to speed is scary... Because of the dead flex it wedges your front and rear truck and makes it a little squirelly. I would dewedge your front and rear truck a little if you want your trucks to remain at normal angles "under load".

Yeah it got a little dodgey at 35MPH with the trackers. it seems to work alot better with the Randal DH trucks. But its a compramise. Agility for Speed. Granted, i can go faster with the randals, but the response with the trackers was Godly. Im making due. Future plans are to hit 40 or 45MPH with it. Depending on how that feels will determine what i buy next. My walet has been a little bit thinner since i started getting into longboarding again. But by "dewedge" you mean increase the angle in the truck? My current stance is on the trucks to try to prevent more flex but ill give it a try and see how things feel.

    My parents = kick ass

I've been saving for this board for months...but it came down to either getting the board or competeing this summer. So...my parents stepped up and decided to pay for the board for my graduation/18th birthday gift. So now I get to spend my money on racing it this summer
