Who gives a crap how it looks, The only reason thta mongo riders boast about it is because they have to learn to footbrake on their other foot (which is a hard thing to learn) If someon is mongo and they are better than me at footbrakig, more power to them. Plus it's not as simple as just pushing with your rear foot it's as if you were goofy and tried to ride regular or vice versa. many awsome skaters are mongo...Ie: Chris Chaput, I'd like to see you race him.

ok kid you must be mongo because you are taking offense if you re-read my post LOL is all over it (poking fun) do you think i actually care if someone is mongo or not??????
and no one said anything about anyone sucking because they are mongo, i think it's silly and there are a lot of riders outside of this whole silverfish world you live in that agree. no one is trying to be a highschool bully here, so don't make this into something it's not
to me it's almost like stinkbug

Re: your dh setup
i think its pretty funny that you guys are complaining about how someone pushes in a discipline that only requires you to push MAYBE 5% of the time, 95% of the time is downhill so you dont have to push......
why dont you guys talk about stance and arm position, something that actually matters.....and complain about those fast ass brasilians that put their arms out in front that looks goofy, but they could still whoop your ass down the hill

Whether one is most comfortable standing on their front foot or back foot DOES actually matter when it comes to downhill. People who push with their rear foots are more accustomed to keeping most of their weight on the front of their board, and they are more accustomed to steering with the front truck (than mongos that have to sometimes steer with their rear foot because their front foot isn't on the board). These things come in handy to prevent speed wobbles, increase stability, and allow proper/safe foot braking. (foot braking can be done with one's rear foot on the board but steering from this position becomes very hard and it's just a sketchy process all together).
