Take the hanger off with the wheels on it and hold both wheels and push in really hard and turn the wheels, then youll see.

that is what i did and almost nothing happens. well no it swings up and down cuz they have bent over time but out of the box didn't do that.

they dont make cast hangers slightly bent, they just cant make cast hangers perfect cause there not CUT AWAY there molded, there fore the shape has been used 1000000 times and is old. not in perfect condition, though the first few trucks i would assume are in GREAT axle shape.

what? the axle isnt bent because the mold is old... the axle is bent beause of the high temperatures that sometimes warp the axle when molten metal is being poured around it.

the mold can't get old, it's sand and it's destroyed every time it's used

they also simply don't use the same quality of axles that are used in precision trucks, if the entire truck is not made precisely, don't expect the axles to be made precisely either. i believe that many cast truck axles are made from some sort of rod stock, and therefore are not perfect. whereas precision trucks use either purpose built axles or some sort of super high quality bolts (for screw in axles, although these may be purpose built as well). at least these are some of the things i've gathered over time on this site. who knows how reliable any of it is

because that makes them cost more the point of a cast truck for alot of people is that theyre cheaper than precision trucks. and even if they were precise it doesnt mean they would be after the casting process. and precision axles arent unbendable so it doesnt matter.

wider axles are easier to bend. thats why paris beefed up their 195mm hanger and thats why we havnt seen randals yet.

Don't know why your all talking about non straight axles. At speed your not gonna feel the differance unless they're that bent that half your wheels are up in the air. To solve the problem companies could beef up the hangers, not cast the axle in, but cast a solid hanger then drill the sides for screw in axles?
