It's a toss up. Plenty of people ride both on their decks. r2 in front, and dh baseplate with r2 hanger in back.

Depends on what speeds you are going. I would have to agree with CL and say the DH baseplates and r2 hangers.

It can also depend on the board, in some cases.

Good call. I realized that after I posted it, but had nothing better to edit it with.

I ride R-IIs because I like to use my board for other things besides DH. Only get DHs if speedboarding is ALL you're going to be doing.

i like a dh plate on back with r2 up front and unflipped r2 hangars. best of all worlds with good carving, and dh attributes.

hey is this sturat from olf?

anyways unflipped r2s are fine for any speed, its not like youre gonna wobble really, and if you do i think you could get wobs on any truck. i find indy and trackers to be exceptionally stable at speed as well
hey yo son that's my name whats the word?

Seconded... I rock this combo and have taken it into the mid to upper 50's (mph) and have had no problems. With a good bushing setup you'll be able to pump the flats, carve at medium speeds and bomb full out without ever making any changes.

    Here's the vid:
    Faaaaaast!

The rider with RII's is Djul from Annecy in the Alps... the other is Adri (2nd at Izoard Legendary Race and 2nd at Swiss World Cup (both times behind Martin Siegrist )).
    Great great riders.

On some french races, there's no one to catch them ... simply no one.
