Probably going to be like the OWL that they made a few of a while ago for some select riders

No clue but not too worried about it, usually get lbl to custom make me whatever it is that i want. The owl looked pretty cool though just for some reason reminded me of one of those pizza paddle things.

Not sure if he wanted us to talk about it or not, but Adam Colton had one... It was pretty sick looking! Nice shape, similar to a vanguard... flexxy. It's going to be a 'different' speedboard that's for sure.

I think the flexiness was an issue. I remember people saying he was having trouble on it, so I assume the final product will be much, much stiffer.

they are/were selling that one on the loaded site. That is different than the owl.

You're right, that's the point. It IS just a vanguard with dropthrus. I assume the speedboard will be something significantly different.

    Speaking of significant differences...

I'm curious to see what this new speedboard will offer to a rider that any of the Raynes, Kebbeks and Landys can't give him or her already. Reminds me of the Insect Lightening Bug and even the subsonic spedboards. Great decks, obviously, but it seems that despite their quality, only a few actually have them, while most are on Rayne, Kebbek or Landy. Not saying those three aren't quality, far from it, but I'm can't wait to see what loaded has to offer.

Sal, I think you hit that one on the head. I also remember reading that the one adam was riding didn't garner good results either (read; slow as balls). I have faith in Loaded to do it right and I'm betting that it's going to be something completely new. I'm really curious about the dancer myself.

They made a few a long time ago, I think its been in the works forever. With the new thing on their site, with new things to come, maybe it will be released soon. Who knows.

Actually, I think he liked the board as a speedboard- That's what he was telling me.

Compared to the vanguard it seemed like it was a TAD bit wider, may be wrong, but the edges were rounded off from what I remember... It looked alot sexxier than a vanguard that's for sure! Can't wait for whatever they come out with though.

The owl picture that was on the Loaded forums was sweet. Love the shape. They should make it really stiff, that would be a nice board. It looked great.

Secret Tip: the first-ever Silverfish Longboarding Podcast is now in post-production and will go live within a couple of days. If you want information about the Loaded Speedboard, Don discusses it at length. Until then...

Are you talking about what he was riding at the NOVA race? If so, i remember talking to him after my race with him (picture from my avatar) and he said it still needed a lot of work because of how it handled turns.

I'm sure they've fixed all the problems and this board will live up to the amazing quality loaded is know for, but the one he had at the race is probably very different than the one they will be putting out in the near future.

loaded speedboards (at least the ones i felt/rode) = WAY too flexy

dunno if itll be stiffened up or not in the final production, but so far ive only met one person who like the board that flexy

I think the Subsonic, Insect, LBL, Chicago, speedboards have their place. You can buy the mass produced Kebbek's, Rayne's, Etc. from most online longboard stores and probably many ones local to ones self. One Local store sells Landyachtz here. However, If you want a board that is made for you, exactly how YOU want it, dropped, dropped through, deep or shallow concave or even pink with a Pony to pull you back up the hill, talk to one of the small guys. Talk to a small guy, and they will make it happen.
