Look at your tuck in a mirror. If you can't see your back foot/leg behind your front, you're golden.

Re: How to tuck
That's the worst tuck ever k-rimes. No wonder I kept passing you in Vancouver. Or I think that's how it happened. Well anyways, I've been using the bear hug tuck mostly now. I feel it adds about 20 miles per hour to any hill for me. Including uphill.
Here is the bear hug tuck as demonstrated by a bear:

It might look like air braking, because it's basically the same stance, only faster.

Some races dont allow it , you can do it whenever you want out of certain races though..

In fact, there is only ONE race that doesn't allow it.
It is a technique used by many, for tucks, for turns, and for comfort. Don't hesitate for a second to let your knee touch the deck if it makes downhill easier, more fun, or faster.

Re: How to tuck
Sweet, because I did a conventional tuck for a long time, then saw a brazilian video, where two younger guys just dropped their knee down the entire time, so I tried it and it hasnt failed me yet. But it kills my back toes.

Re: How to tuck
I have a question about the brazilian tuck i used to ride a sector 9 trylam with radal 150s and tucked brazilin and it worked great, i was able to take it up to about 40 mph i made it pretty tight but now that i have my cafen i can no longer put my left knee directly behind my right so i get a lot of drag so i was wondering should i tuck in a different position. ive never been stable or relaxed in a euro or american tuck.

Re: How to tuck
Not sure why you can't tuck Brazilian on a Caften...? The standing platform should be about the same size as the Trylam, maybe a bit more, what's the problem?

Re: How to tuck
Not to sound like a dick or anything, but riding around New York City, your tuck won't make too much of a difference as far as speed is concerned. Have you been hitting hills outside the city at all? I would suggest figuring out a way to tuck with your back leg/knee directly behind your front leg/calf.
