2nded. Randals have too much lean on their own so its best to restrict them a bit with an eliminator bottom.

if your looking for a good cheap beginner board go for a landyachtz evo or a stella battle axe from SDS skateboards which is kind of a knockoff from the Kebbek ian comishan

    i say the pagan
that ####er can really handle speed and its a topmount.
the knuckleduster is a really good board though. ive ridden it, but i didnt take it up to speed. the only problem with this board is that its drop through and im more of a fan of topmounts, but i still love the board.

i read somewhere that 42 randals seem a tad bit more responsive than crails. the crails feel more table at speed.

also, crails sit higher than the 42 randals. randals can be flipped whilst crails can't

depends on the speeds you will be going and if you're just gonna be flying down the hills or pushing some distance to fly down hills.

for pushing and slightly lower speeds, i would get randals

for a more completely dedicated downhill setup I would get crails.

i would get crails if you have bigger wheels as well.

yes and no. usually a higher ride is less stable, but its really up to the rider (you) how stable it will be. once you get use to it i doubt it will be an immediate problem.

i hear crails come really come alive once you get moving on them, gotta check em out

higher = more leverage over the trucks. so in effect you can crank on them more. which could give you more controll or more wobble.

but yeah snozz got it right with it's up to the rider thingy.

if u want a lower board go with the hellcat cuz its drop-thru. but if u want the avenger it will have more traction because it is higher off the ground.
