Re: Beginner DH decks and trucks
Sector 9 Padang 100% stock. (except for Bones Super Swiss 6 bearings). I went to Boarder Nation (San Jose, CA) and asked em for a beginner board. Small independent shop. The guys there are great. They recommended me this. I've been very happy.
Specs:
3.4 feet
Stiff trucks (you can adjust em)
Bamboo deck
Big Randall trucks
Sector 9 wheels
Pics? I made another thread with em.

Re: Beginner DH decks and trucks
get 35 degree baseplate for the front otherwise the front will be wedged to 72 degrees...
70mm will work just fine.

Thanks! I had completely forgotten about the wedge. I'll look into 35 degrees or pick up some angled risers at the store and order the randals through dbs!

it's not a 35*, but with an angle riser it should get pretty low. maybe shoot Mark an email of when his next shipment of 35* plates are in.
42* plate
Mile High Skates
make sure you have a 50* in the back

Thanks! I picked up the evo this morning (after spending half an hour hesitating between this one and the drop speed). I kept my randal 50s and simply put an angled riser in front. I ordered one 42 baseplate and double barreled 90a bushings to complete it.
I love the evo, it's a sick ride so far! A big thanks for your help! I'll be stoked for a long time!

Re: Beginner DH decks and trucks
I have crails and some lime bigzigs, I am stilll considering a DH setup. What would be a good speed board for Crails? I liked the avenger, didn't like the DH race. those are the only two i've ridden.

use the avenger if u like it, i have crails on my avenger and i love it. but keep in mind the crail baseplates can be hard to drop thru due to the odd shaped baseplate.

Re: Beginner DH decks and trucks
How about an update to the original list? Except for Landyachtz, which won't accept my Randals, and Insect, which is now expensive carbon fiber, there's not a single drop-through on the list that I can actually find for sale.

Re: Beginner DH decks and trucks
