My trucks will always be available because I am the manufacturer, and I can make ten at a time, or just one, and I can make them when ever I need to. I don't do a production run like many people do, i pretty much make them to order.
I'll eventually come out with a new hanger that is less likely to get hanger bite. Probably more of the traditional looking hanger, same geometry as my current hangers, same bushing seat just less hanger bite.
hangar bite just limits how far the trucks can turn, right?
It would also be useful if the list was edited to include links to the sites (or threads) where the manufacturer can be contacted.

Not really surprised that a yank posted this. Don't mistake Kahalani with Randall, Dan and Mike own a small skate shop in Stockholm and barely make endsmeat.
While all you were whining about no kahas available in the US Dan and Mike weren't sitting on their asses doing nothing.
They run a skateshop (do you know how little money that gives in a place like sweden were we have winter 9 out of 12 months?), and developed the new gen kaha trucks.
Regardless anyone who supports knockoffs (ghengis, kaha, randall) are kooks and i won't ride with them.
And people who defend knockoff are kooks.
Whattt? Knockoff CNCd trucks IMO don't even exist. Knockoffs to me means that they are made just like the originals but with cheaper materials at a cheaper cost and use the low price as their marketing scheme. You can't really rig up a CNCd truck. You could easily pick out 5 precision hangers that are virtually the same thing. Same with any trucks. There is only so much you can do with them, and there are tons of manufacturers. Don't get prejudice against Americans and generalize because the Kaha guys didn't put out trucks when someone needed them. If they want precisions and they can't get the ones they want for an extended period of time, of course someone is going to step in and make them (smart decision I might add,) maybe at a lower cost. In that situation I'd think it would make the most sense to sell them for the same amount as Kaha's considering there was a high demand for the trucks. It's nothing to get worked up about I completely agree with his post because of the Economics of it not because I'm a Yank you prejudice.

New here. spent hrs researching said pre trucks. Best advice I've seen is get some leathers and try others trucks. We have Big View here so I'm excited to try It out. Tried a fraction
of it w S9 franken board with flipped R2's venom red/green and back wobbled like crazy
at round 15-20 mph round abouts. Was sold on Kahas, then read how awesome
Kooky's were in high speed carves, free riding etc. Seasoned ldp'r so am hopeful
on dis as well. (Not for ldp jus pumpin). Then read about Cindrich, and Talons.
Thinking about a Nemi Deelite and price wise Cin or Talons. I want durability
to trash it up freeriding, curbs, speed bumps, road kill etc, carveability at high speeds,
as well as stability getting comfy at higher speeds,( and final ability I swear to satan)
priceability. If it fetches my mail even better... Thnx (and before you render me tragic
noob I'm a longtime skater, just new to highspeed hot leather wearing full face
terrorizing speed boardingj, and I'm A BLACKBELT YOGAITE SO BEWARE!!!!)

I'm as lost as you are, man. He talks about all these great precision trucks but also mentions how he gets wobbles at <20mph on flipped R-IIs with fairly hard bushings.

And you totally missing the point.
Kahalani have supported the Swedish downhill scene for a long time. All our best riders came out of that shop and our coming generation will surely come from there.
So it is pretty accurate to say, you hurt kahalani, you hurt the growth of longboarding AND DH in Sweden.
And that isn't a easy feat considering it is a company run by two guys in a country that enjoys 9 months winter out of 12 possible.
So you better understand that I'm gonna come gunning for anyone who hurts mine and what I hold dear.
During the last winter they spent their time and cash developing new hanger, thus not having the time/cash for making trucks for us.
I love that people like you talk about economics and such.
For Kahalani it has never been about the money, it is about riders to riders.
It's been about making a scene grow from nothing, about not being leeches that try suck the life out of this scene that we build.
About good quality gear for everyone at reasonable prises.
But mostly it is about the people.
So what are you? a Leech? Or a rider?

I think u are missing his point. a truck is a truck, and there are only so many ways you can go abt making it. touhous arent knockoffs, they filled a market gap. when u are talking abt chinese randal knockoffs, those are cheaply made, poor quality rip offs. and its not like the touhous completely overran kahas. they were available for awhile, now they are gone. It was relatively difficult and expensive to get kahas over here in North America for quite some time.
edit: if u couldnt buy kahas b/c they were out of stock, you arent hurting their business by choosing another product.
and there was no need for the prejudice insults. Props to the guys at kaha for what they are doing, but don't act like the whole touhou thing ransacked their business.

Personally, I don't care about Swedish companies, or whatever. They make a product to make money off of me/us/skateboarders. If they are no longer making something, and someone else makes something similar to fill a market gap, I'll buy it. If Kahas were available when they were in demand, people would have bought them. I'd disagree with people if they went out and bought them while Kaha was making trucks. Nobody ever knew that Kahalani would ever even come back into the scene. Also, quit with the "knock-offs" bullsh!t. They're CNCd precision trucks. How is that a knockoff? Where did they leave out the quality? They didn't. People don't have issues with TouHous. I've ridden them, and they're nice trucks. And as far as you being so into your country of origin, great. Good for you. You just happened to, by luck, come out of your mother in Sweden. I just happen to genetically be German. Do you think I'm going to get my panties in a bunch if someone makes a car that is remarkably similar to a Jetta if Volkswagen stops making cars? No. I don't really care. If someone however would steal the design from them and sell them for cheaper, yes, I'd think it was immoral. Still, would I care, no. Go skateboard.

First of i think we must dispell some ideas that you have.
First of there was a market gap for 2-3 months last winter, that hardly justifies someone selling "cheap kahas" (highwinds words, not mine).
You guys are acting like the only reason people bought rippoffs was cause they couldn't get kahas, but I call BS on that. No way do I believe that people who bought the rippoffs had ANY intention of getting the REAL deal in the first place.
Thus I don't buy the "filling the market gap" rout that people take.
I just guess you are a leecher.
And this debate is kinda moot since kaha have advanced their product DESPITE a copycat selling too lowlifes.
Kaha>lowlifes
