I used to ride mine dropped through on my CLB Double-D. I took it to some big hills, but anything with a sharp turn i would sometimes overdrift or get highsided and fall. I topmounted them for better grip and they feel awesome.

Yes, it can be done, but you sacrifice grip.

oh and does anyone have some good pictures on maguns? I'm looking to CNC my own baseplates and hangers at my university and I'm gathering ideas from everywhere for my design.

Those are PVD's I love mine!! They are by far the most advanced truck ,and grip like no other as a rear slalom truck!! Peter Verdone made very limited numbers and hasn't made any new ones in a few years!

Maguns have a 200mm hanger, not axle. And I tghought they were flippable

The axles thread in different front and back so as not to twist out from normal riding use. Every axle is either threaded forward or backward so as to make it impossible for the turning of the wheels in the forward direction to unscrew your axles.

Maguns can be flipped. I have tried it and ridden them like that
It's very strange but not necessarily bad.

Sounds like the left side is left hand threaded?

Oh and a vote for the following measurements, some of these could be tricky to get.

    axle offset
    pivot to kingpin center
    kingpin center to axle center
axle center to bottom of baseplate
    axle center to inner bolt-hole

    Edit
I also thought this would live happily here.

these photo's still give me a grin, Thanks A-Drain!

which are lower: kahalanis or smokies? If I put precision trucks on my avenger, lower is better, since it is a topmount, but since the kahalanis are wider, they might be better because wheelbite would be less of an issue. Any firsthand experience? Recommendations?
