    general maintenance for p trucks:
get yourself some stainless steel revive powder or cream . most hardware stores will have it.
after stripping down the truck dab it on and rub in then off with a dry rag.
this will take any scum build up away and the more you do it the shinier they get.
wipe out the bushing seats with an alcohol based cleaner to get rid of thane build up and or just the dirt that can get in there, try to stay away from oily or acid based cleaners or lube such as WD40 etc as any left in the bushing seats can react with the bushings.
On your axles once again use an alcohol based clearer and wipe off until dry. then rub down the axles only with a good machine oil this will prevent rust starting..

if there are any scratches that look light you can buff them out with 400/800 grade wet and dry sand paper . do this before you apply the stainless revive .

as for sphricals bearing ...lube regularly

this is a general approuch for maintenace that I use, others might like to add there tips.

just a quick question... i ride an old pair of Randal DH's (exactly 3 years old now, everythings still stock) cost me 50 bucks, and like... it works perfect for me. I hit 55 mph on the mont in berkeley without even a flinch. So my question is... what is the point of getting suuuper expensive trucks? What is the actual performance enhancing, "thing", that I would be paying for? Thanks

    Mostly status.

You might also notice slightly better grip and consistency in how they perform due to their high tolerances.

If you purchase a precision truck with a spherical in the hanger and/or the pivot you'll get smoother, truer turns and a more "intimate" road feel. Many people trying sphericals for the first time perceive this enhanced road feel as being "twitchy" as any flaw on the road is directly translated back to the rider.

precision trucks mostly effect cornering and how the truck handles in turns.

Careful, these guys will sell you on precisions. The real reason to buy them is to be like teh K-Rimes.

I know thats why I bought them...

So ive been getting an itch for some precisions on my hellcat. Ive been considering both kahalanis and smokeys. I realize that both these trucks are pretty different, in that smokeys have sphericals, and kahas have a bigger hanger, i am just curious if anyone has any personal testaments for either truck?

    Note: Not from personal experience.

But I've heard that these trucks work best when topmounted because they are very low.
Just wondering if you thought of that.

there arent great precisions for a hellcat out imo. most stuff dropped is too low. talons would be pretty decent, but precision hangers only is pointless. both of your suggestions would be pretty meh. (unless you topmounted the kahas). my vote is for kahas if you had to choose between what you listed, but confederate geometry (45*front 30* back) talons would probably be nice.

oh i forgot about kookys. that would be pretty nice too.

my vote. wait, its been looking like cool things are on the way. save for leathers. if you need precisions topmount kahas. or touhous if you're ok with it. and it kaha comes out with a 184mm truck like i heard, steer clear. kahas magic number is 204.

Kooky's would be my pick for a drop through. not too low, and nice and wide. they are currently out of stock though, so i guess that doesnt really help :P

i have heard that they are super low, which is one reason why i was getting some opinions, I would love some confederates, but can you even find those anymore?

Talons seem like they would be great on a Hellcat. Why would you need Confederate baseplates? Whats wrong with Talon baseplates, they make 35* 45* and 55* baseplates.

Quick question, if you have a 42 degree baseplate, is the king pin completely perpendicular to that angle?
