yes.
The pivot axis (x*) should be perpendicular with the kingpin.

Generally-
Perpendicular to the board/BP mounts is 0*. The board itself is 90*.
To answer your question, the KP is at that angle.

i don't think cnc trucks are that much better than cast. now what would be better would be forged. that would be stronger and worth the expense.

in fact, has anyone ever broken a precision truck?
yes. many many precisions have been broken..mostly axles snapping, but i'm pretty sure i've heard of a CNC'd HANGER being snapped as well.

Are you being serious? CNC is definitely better than cast in the aspect of stronger and more accurate. I'm not quite sure how you mean that it's not better. If you're saying that you prefer the ride of cast, that's one thing but CNC is definitely worth the extra cost if you are looking for what it offers.

I looked through the entire thread, anyone have reviews of the Cindrich hangers and baseplates?
You are not the light of my life.

forged trucks would be awesome.. in terms of metalworking, there really is nothing stronger than cold forged stuff..

re: CNC'd and Performance DH Trucks
While I can't speak for all CNC'd trucks.. The axles alone in Zealous cost almost as much as entire non precision trucks. They will not bend/snap from the testing put on them to date.

Although I make them, I'm not likely the person you want to have a review from. I can tell you that my axles are probably the strongest on the market to date, I have true 8mm axles, and I've also come out with a replacement 10mm axle. My axles screw in. I use 17-4 ph stainless steel, thats turned on a lathe, and then the hex, and one side of the thread is done in a mill. Then they are heat treated at 900 degrees for about 2 hours. That process of heating, is called precipitation hardening (hints the PH after the 17-4).
My hangers are 6061 t6 aluminum, 200 mm wide. I have a variety of base plates to choose from. 50, 45, 40, 35 degree, and an adjustable base plate, that has a range of 25-50 degrees for the king pin. Or you can use a standard Randal base, or you could use a Randal hanger and any of my bases. My base plates are also made from 6061 t6 aluminum.
As for a review, there are only a handful of dudes who have my trucks, off the top of my mind I can think of a few silverfish names, Razor tattoo, PMC, I know Dozerdoggy has a set, but I've not head anything from him. A dude from Spain Mark33 has four sets of my trucks.
Anyway I hope that may have helped

hey..thats right ive gor 4 sets of cindrich trucks plus a set of the adjustable plates. i have 2 sets of 50 deg and 1 set of 35 degs and 1x set of 40 degs.
i have 2 of the sets on my cindrich aluminium and my cindrich titanium decks.
i have one sent on a loaded vanguard and one set on a pumpkin 47inch cruiser deck.
i have a couple of decks with original s10s and these have allways been my favourite trucks by miles, ive also got some randal 180s on a board and a couple of random trackers and similiar....so when i first tried out the cindrich i had a fair bit of time spent with other trucks..
the cindrich trucks firstly are beautifully designed and are fitted together with really small tolerances,,,really precisely made they fit together EXACTLY.....no spaces or movement or anything..they look like a work of art.
secondly they are amazingly well made..they are cut and finished by a guy who makes some of the most amazing cars in the world..what im trying to say here is that sandwich really knows how to MAKE ####..hes a true craftsman and that comes out when you push off on a cindrich armed deck..
thirdly the ride..what can i say?? smooth, precise, strong they feel almost intuitive (if you follow me)...they are really turny and controlable at all speeds and offer a really cool ride.
they have become along with my originals my favourite trucks by a mile...ive got 4 sets but what Dave didnt say is that ive ordered another 2 full sets plus some hangers for my adjustable base plates...im buying boards to go WITH these trucks just now..ive got 2 clutch knuckledusters on the way......that looks like a marriage made in longboard heaven.
pictured is my aluminium cindrich with cindrich trucks(50 degrees) and white avilas.

AHHHH!! I hate you!!! I was about to buy a Cindrich board, but some unexpected personal issues came up and now I can't afford one for another couple weeks. Instead of buying the board now and the trucks in a few weeks I won't have a Cindrich complete for at least a month.
