Racing leathers

Just wondering, Where does everyone get their leathers? Or what do you all wear to protect yourself from a fall at hight speeds?

ive got a 1 piece dickies coverall worksuit. its what i can afford. ive had the suit for a while but dont know how itll hold up after a fall, cause im yet to do that, and rarley im in the mood to wear it...but it looks as if it will be rather durable. i got the knees reinforced with leather i got off a pair of like boots. i was looking to reinforce the elbows, back and shopulders but i dont have anymore leather. well yea thats what i use... its not really worn much because i dont really need it. sibbald is now a cake walk, the left hand turn at the bottom is my bitch, i could probably do it with my head jammed up my ass. i would wear it on other hills but there is no desire in other rides to do ride anywhere or anything else. its all lets come back later or well hit it after this and so on.. very frustrating.. anyway back on topic i just wear my knee pads, elbow pads and gloves.. its more than minimal protection, after all im the beginning of sibbalds slaying, it was just your gloves, shoes and the clothes on your back.. we've all fell on sibbald, some more than others, and worse than others, but its all part of skating. everyone gets hurt, its ****** inevetible...
lets see back to a non rambling rant

i have a regular skate helmet, i want a full face helmet, but it would lay around collecting dust... i would use it on sibbald dont get me wrong, because... holy ****, surley ive gone above 50, but for all i know i could just thinking of ludacris numbers, so yes im yet to find out my top speed... and finding out that number will take who the **** knows how long, because now nobody gives a hoot about me an my longboard... also the fullface would be a useful tool if ever get to a frickin race... currently for me the only thing i wanted to do this summer above all is the munnsville race. ive been trying to train and get ready, i constantly find myself up at night doodling turns and things ive scoped out that i believe will be good practice for the race... i want to goo sooo baad.... shiiitt its my ******* motivation. its what makes me want to ******* ride... RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT PISSES ME OFF.. i have a goddam fire keeping me on my board riding and it gets water and **** thrown upon it by some dude with pie who controls life... and yes the way things are turning out, im not going, there are more reasons than you can shake a ******* stick at.. and yes i suffer in silence and dont really say much to change things because i really cant... i cant force people to drive me to upstate new york and make them let me go to this race... N O was coming all along but yes i still managed to care and want something i cant have... whats the word for that??? if you could tell me id appreciate it...AAHHHH that is the shittiest feeling. yes it is worse than my headache.. i would cry if i had a ******, but i dont so i can only get pissed off and say bad words and be angry.... anyway... besides bitching i think i said what my means of proterction are... and its a gloomy day, i have a splitting head ache, everyone has their head jammed up their ass and is too good to go out, its raining, and im a shitty mood once again do to other peoples lack of ******* motivation... so yes im questioning what will come of my longboarding fire, and hopefully it will be good but on these rainy days i let being able to think straight get the better of me... so after my mind cooks up my thoughts for long enough i have to vent the heat in here, the only place i really can because **** just really sucks and i cant really talk with anyone... yes this is really ******* rediculous and i feel like an idiot... end communication

well roastbeef that went from an informative post to ah well i guess interesting ramblings.

i would suggest going to you local motorbike store. also look for second hand ones. be sure to try them on before buying to make sure you have enough movement. also check that the seam where they sew the leather patches together is not exposed as it will rip on the road and your leathers will fall apart.

We get ours from motorcycle sales companies like Joe Rocket (direct), Sullivans, and Western Motor Sports. One-stop shopping for leathers, helmets, shoes.

i dunno if ur looking to buy from somewhere around u, but in burbank, ca there is a distributor i bought my leathers from. www.streetluge.net and ask for alex tesler - he can hook u up. theyre 2 piece suits and they have sets with foam armor. i took a spill straight into a guard rail yesterday and was very thankful that i had something under the leathers. that site seemed to have the better deals on suits when i was searching for a set
