    Default stable setups

so what kind of setups are you people running that are within the wallet and very stable at speeds? has anyone tried a normal skate deck with the trucks mounted on the far nose and tail, what do you think of that? it makes the deck lower but according to the angled riser chart, that would be a carving board !

you should look into just doing a drop thru on whatever board you have and then doing wheel cutouts

I have done the shortboard converstion thing. It is a fun ride. I think if you just put wedge risers in then it would give you a longer wheelbase but keep the trucks the same with turning...

It is 11:30 A.M. and I just got up so excuse any errors or incoherencies.

Try doing a drop through on a shortboard conversion. I will be trying it out in the next could of days. I will get back to you with the results.

drop through on a shortboard... havent done that but how about this? reshaped and dropped freebord alpha 100 deck. im guessing it would be similar to the shortboard but with a longboard wheelbase

a little bit flexy, a little too much. hopefully the next time we see it, itll be covered in fibreglass or carbon fibre or something to stiffen it up

Two layers of fiber glass will do it. Carbon is expensive and nasty as hell to work with.
