    Default bear 40* baseplates...

i was searching for them and found this site..

Bear Grizzly 40 Degree Base Plates Set of (2) - $26.00 : Texas Longboards, Longboard Skateboard Store - Custom Longboard Decks, Longboard Trucks, Longboard Wheels

but it shows randal 42* baseplates in the picture...

has anyone bought these from this site before or know another site that has them? i just cant find them anywhere... i ordered 840's from landyachtz like 6 months ago, but they came with 852's... but i didnt care, i was just stoked about getting my board together.. but now i wish i would have said something...

I know these guys personally and mark and edwin are the two nicest people you could work with. I got my 40 degree bears from those guys. I would recommend them any day of the week. Enough to where I'd put a link to them in my sig.

If you want just call them and verify that its the bears that you are placing the order for if it makes you feel better.

Edit: after looking at your link, are you sure those are randals? I think the randals have the name stamped on the plate and this one doesnt seem to. I could be wrong though.

thank you very much. I'll order them when they come back in stock... do you think they'll hold my order or whatever so that they send them to me as soon as they get them in?

I'm sure it wouldnt be a problem unless he's already got orders in from other people. He seems to get his landyachts orders in pretty frequently so it shouldn't take too long. But, I'm not associated directly with them so I don't wanna say for sure. They are just good friends of mine and great people so I highly recommend them to anyone that will listen. Best bet is just to call or email them. I'm sure they will do whatever they can to help you out.

Cool. I don't own any randals but I just thought they all had the name stamped into them. Either way, I know mark gets the bears he's looking for.

Hey, thanks for checking out the site, and bringing the photo issue to my attention. I have corrected the photos to show the 42 Randal and the 40 Bear.

I have an order in with LY for various items including the Bear 40 base plates. LY has been jammed up with orders lately, so I can't promise a date, but if you send me your e-mail to mark@texaslongboards.com I'll contact you the second I get 'em.

    Thanks again,

No problem man. Always willing to help out the local crew. Thanks for all of your support in the scene.

Ps- I'm thinking I may be hitting you up for a drop wedge in the next month or so. As soon as the money is all there. And I still need to get a deck for the wife, and some 10mm biltins if you have them, and.... This list could go on and on....

That Drop Wedge is sick looking...It is in inventory, and the EVO is also in stock. As to my knowledge Chaput hasn't made any 10mm Builtins "yet" but I have the Bear 10mm Ceramics and 10mm spacers that should give you a smooth long lasting ride. Didn't you also need some new spacers?

Have you taken your trip yet?

    Mark

yeah i just talked to tanner and he told me about the biltins. I do however need some 10mm spacers still. ive been running my 8mm's for the time being but im doing a lot more sliding/drifting with my 83mm flys, so i definately wanna get the 10mm axles going. i just feel more comfortable if i had the spacers. ill give you a call probably today about seeing when i can grab those from ya. possibly some lime or lemon bigzigs too.

that drop wedge looks freakin sweet. i cant wait to get my feet on one! I bet its a beast!

We leave for Vegas later this month on the 27th-30th. if i dont lose all my money ill be hitting you up for those decks maybe a couple weeks after we get back. cant wait.

are you guys getting a skate together anytime soon? we'll have to get out and do something now that the weather is nice and balmy.

    take it easy man.

    -Brad
