I've fell probably a bit above 40mph after hitting gravel on Jake's Rash. I didn't even hurt myself, I just slid along the pavement and got back up and finished the run.

I guess I got lucky.

only about 20. i wasnt paying attention when i was speeding down a side walk, and got launched on one of the lil ramp things that allow stuff like wheelchairs to get onto the sidewalk =__=

Like 30mph. I got really, really lucky though. I was bombing an unfamiliar hill. It was really sketchy though, like the width of a car. Anyways, at the bottom you could have turned right or left. Left would have taken me onto the highway so I was planning on going right. Turns out the right side was washed out and had a huge pothole. I pretty much just tried to run it out but ended up sliding in the gravel. This happened about a month ago and I still have gravel lodged in my palms (It's not THAT big of a hill, I don't need to wear slide gloves!...my thoughts before I rode down it). I didn't get chewed up that bad which was nice, other than some gnarly road rash on my knees. Oh and I tore the knees of my favorite pair of pants from seam to seam.

I've never DH'ed before so im pretty much clueless about this slide of longboarding, but ive been watching alot of videos on it and i have some questions.

when you guys are taking a really tight turn and you crash into each other do you get pissed? have fights every broken out? or is it just apart of the sport?

Fell at around 35-40mph a month or so ago. Wobbled a bit and instead of being smart and riding it out i threw a pendy to kill some speed and lost control of the board. I ended up sliding on my ass shredding my shorts and underwear and getting road rash all over my right ass cheek and leg.

i believe its quite the opposite, it actually forms a kind of bond right there and then. unless you bet your longboard on the race, then id be hella pissed

hahhahah Same thing here, I was with rabid and sofa behind. I had to take a weird line to pass a dude who was slow but who still left in front of us. I had to go on the middle of the road, full tucking, and the crack was just too freaking big here.
I just remember flying for what seemed to me to be no reason, crashing on concrete, and finishing, upside down in the grass after seing sofa, lb1 (yeah I think he was there also) and rabid passing by me and avoiding me in extremis at full speed also.

i think i was going aroubd 15-20 mph, i went around a 90 degree turn and my neighbor pulled out of her drive way and just sat in the middle of the road (she hates me) i tried to pendy, but my board flipped and i got some bad roadrash on my arm and hip

I wrecked at around 45. I went to bomb a hill and got speed wobble. I somehow fell forward and flipped over. I got a huge hole in my shirt and tore off skin on my back, hip, and knees, wearing no pads!

When I was around 13 I fell going around 20mph and rashed up pretty bad. Luckily I did not hurt my head as I was lid-less(dumb) at time (1979ish).

Anyway, my worst was beginning of this summer going about 3mph, holding my dog and leash....turn left onto my sidewalk.......back wheels hang in grass.........fall on left arm (Still holding dog and leash)....skrunches into my side and cracks three ribs. Hurt to breathe for 2 months, but I did not miss 1 day of skating

depends on who's fault it was and how badly that person ****ed up, like if they tried to snake you on the inside taking a line that is obviously stupid then ya people might get pissed. But usually its just a situation most brush off because its going to happen one time or another.

probably high 30s when i first started bombing hills. I got to the bottom in my tuck and a car spooked me and i stood up too fastand got wobs. I ended up with my left toe hooked on the back of my evo my right knee and one of my elbows supporting my weight as i slowed to a stop. I left with hole in my knee about the size of a quarter around and deep and a decent chunk of the meat on my elbow gone.

Probably 15, but then again, I don't do DH here in So Flo. I was seshing a garage and hit a median, fell right off onto my shoulder and head, broke my collarbone and was almost concussed. Very lucky, considering I was wearing no protection. I didn't have a helmet on either .

Needless to say, I now wear a helmet...

Both times on the same trip, i was going down to visit my friend in longbeach to shred.
First time on the trip was down GMR, i took a hard heelside hairpin at about 35, there was a row of rocks on teh side of the road which got sequentially larger the last one being about the size of 2 fists. Conveniently these rocks are lined up perfectly directly in the path of the line i was taking, i hit the first couple, nothing bad, then i hit the 4th one, thinking that was the last one i take a deep beath and realize, wtf is that boulder doing in the road? so i hit the faty rock, it's grinding betwen my truck and ground for about 20 ft then smack, i screech to a halt and fly off myin an epic superman dive i slid mostly on my hands which is good except for the fat i flew about 15 ft and jammed my shoulder, i came back 20 mins later and did the run again though (made sure to flip off the corner that screwed me)
Second time was on tuna 2 days later, after tucking the big straight away towards the bottom i see the tight right turn up ahead, im going at least 40 and i forgot that the corners not as sharp as i thought but i do a big predrift and hit a pothole (this is where it gets good). Mid slide my board simply disappears from under me, i do 2 full 360's flipping around upside down my shoe flies off, my shirt flies over my head and lay on the side of the road dazzed, with my shirt over my face missing my shoe while my board procedes to rail the corner with perfect form that i obviously lacked.
