Whats the fastest speed youve fallen at?

25 mph around a curve with really crappy pavement, leaned in too far and got thrown. no helmet + hill= concussion, lots of scarring on my left arm and back. sleeveless shirts and no helmet is dumb.

20+ mph: avoiding a couple of kids on their bikes. Broken wrist and road rash.
In retropect, I should have taken out the kids. They would have been less damaging to me than the asphalt.

P.S. I've crashed at 40 MPH on my Colnago (road bike) no leathers just thin lycra.
That road rash will wake you up screaming in the morning.

slightly under 35mph. instead of just going straight up a runout, I decided to carve a little bit.....in gravel. did a 360 frontside headspin on my helmet....

i sprained my wrist the other day comin down a steep hill doin about 20 i was foot braking and my foot slipped back into my wheel and threw me off my board cut my back up a lil bit too

right around 30-35, i was going into a turn way too hot for how skinny the lane was (bike PATH) slid right off the path and into the woods, i just missed a tree then slid for a second then did a front flip face first into a pile of dead branches. it was scary but sick at the same time, i got right up and skated again but i didnt do that run for the rest of the day haha.

around 30mph in pennsylvania, I skidded into a steep grass hill on the side of a road and banged up my leg and hip, but limped off fine.

first time to hit that speed, i froze because the speed kinda overwhelmed my senses, the road was going through a slight right hand turn, couldnt tun the board cause of me freezing,

i hit the curb, i flew, i had pads and a helmet on, most of the damage was to the left side of my body, from the waist upwards, not a pleasant experience

I fell at high 30s low 40's (about 64 kph) Brazilian footbreaking. I was wearing elbow pads (got ripped off), knee pads (slipped down a bit), helmet and gloves (actually did their job!). Ended up sliding into a curb face first resulting in some scraped up ilia, arms, and side, then went into shock a bit later, and haven't Brazilian footbreaked since. I recommend wearing something more than pads and a teeshirt if you plan to fall at high speeds.

well mines not all that awesome. i was only going about 20, just doing some curb hops. basically, my back truck ended up getting caught on an uneven edge on the curb. threw me forward off my board. i wasnt wearing knee pads and didnt want to land on my bare knees, so i tried to put my hands out in front so that as i hit i could roll it out more easily. i was able to roll it out, but broke both the radius and the ulna (bones in your arm) at the wrist and fractured a bone in the base of my hand. after 6 weeks since it happened and a month since surgery (didn't know it was broken for a bit), i now only have 2 weeks left in a cast, then i'll have a brace for a couple weeks, then they'll take out the two pins they had to put in my ulna, and i'll have a plate and eight screws on my radius for the rest of my life. very dumb.

I blew the back of my head off in 2001, and went into shock - could not move for about 5 min. It scared the crap out of me. The amount of blood that comes out of your head is amazing. Here is a close call that Kaspar had a while back...pretty crazy - somewhere in Brooklyn

I fell at around 30-33 but I dont count that since i fell in the middle of a pendy. I had another fall at about 25-27. I was skating this hill in my town and I saw a car at the intersection so I threw a slide down because it was the only way to stop quick. There was this house with some big rocks on their lawn for decoration. I went to slide(it was wet) and instead of staying at 90* and sliding to stop i went 180 and tried to pull it back around but I couldnt. I slid right into one of the rocks. I was about 2 feet away when I kicked my board out and tried to roll out of the way. I got about 6 inches from the rock and braced for impact haha. I hit the rock and flipped onto the persons lawn. I had a big bruise on my ass for a few weeks.

I fell at 35 mph the other day. i was going to pass my buddy and i waited to long to call out left, while at the same time he stood up and carved left without looking. more my bad than his but its amazing what a 5$ pair of homemade slidegloves can save you in skin.

65mph. cats eye on cypress mtn. Twice.

First one I just slid, forever. Got a burn on my leg from my leathers heating up.
Second one was yesterday and I went over a barrier and down an embankment. Got up and finished the run both times.

update, the previous fall that i described is still my worst for results but no longer my fastest. just took a spill a couple hours ago doing about 30 mph around a corner. slid on my butt and cast for a good 15 feet until i flipped over the curb and into the bushes lol. remarkably only a couple minor scrapes. casts are pretty dang durable!
