The big difference is that I KNOW Kevin and I KNOW he knows what he is doing.
He is the kind of rider who can do that... I aint that sure about a dude with an average tuck somewhere lost in the middle of the states, who beleives that putting speed rings instead of bushing will do the job and who doesnt even have any leathers to protect him for drfiting on his ass for 300 feet once he crashes...
Now I dont try to discourage him. I was just like him like 6 years ago, I did my experiences, I crashed, hard sometimes and I learned. He will do the exact same thing

man Ive come off bikes at less speed than that and have even been able to drop them first before sliding and Im glad I had leathers to save my ass., Dude you NEED leathers..
are you sure your ready for this, and if this is true , what kind of lifesaver mates do you have letting you do this without proper protection,
You say you have already been 80mph .. Thats way more than I have ever done and probley will ever do.
what where you wearing then.?

I agree, kind of.

And this "Double Standard" is not that at all.
We have almost all seen K-rimes race at least in a video, we can all appreciate and trust his knowledge and skill because we've seen him do it.
Now, just because I haven't heard of this kid before doesen't mean he is not AMAZING, but I can't in my right mind trust him to reach this speeds and do this preperation properly, without seeing some of his accomplishments.

Just the fact that he doesen't have leathers should mean he postpones the planes till he has all the safety equipment.

I'm not asking him to stop, I'm asking him to rethink it and wait till he has enough cash to afford every single precaution. And I mean.

- Closed road that has been swept.
- Trained first aiders or preferably paramedics.
- A full plan of what to do if something goes wrong.
- A set up you are COMPLETELY confident in (I mean best of the best of the best)
- SAFETY EQUIPMENT, spine guard, leathers motorcycle helmet the whole thing.At those speeds you can't afford to skimp out on even one piece of equipment.

Come on guys...thant's mean. And it's not funny. The man was not feeling well... That's a lot of suffering for him and his family. Taking exams and bracing yourself for news that could mean that something could be very wrong is heart-wrenching and very painful. Very, very stressful situation. Not fun I tell you. Also he was really brave the way he took it. I remember those posts. Quit it.

I thought we were concerned about Chrise's safety, not about being bringing him down, harassing and diminishing him. That's totally out of order.

Being worried about his safety and trying to convince him not to do it should not extend as far as billitling him so he doesen't feel confident enough to do it. It was one step over the line.

No it's not. The guy is on drugs for his brain tumor or whatever his incompetent military doctors don't seem to be able or willing to diagnose. He and his crew are obvious kooks. He flat out lied about going 85 mph. Whatever happens in his land speed record attempt we can be sure that the story will be all or partial bullsh*t and that there will be no credible evidence provided.

I'm sure his less than credible bluster is overcompensation for his uncured neurological problems but it is pathetic nevertheless.

I'm just calling it that because you referred to K-Rimes. Really it could be any experienced speedboarder. They have obviously proven their skills on and off the race track. Nearing if not braking 80 mph without the aid of a vehicle. It's not their skills that are holding them back. It is simply that they can't get any more aerodynamic. The can't push through the wind faster than that without the aid of fairings. If someone is stable at 80, I'm sure they'd be stable at 100. I'm sorry to say it but judging by the kid's video, he's simply just not skilled enough to complete this stunt yet. Keep practicing and maybe someday you'll be able to do it.

And as for Enemy Combatant. What are you trying to do? One of my favourite things about this sport is how it is so inclusive. So what, he had an idea and a goal and he's not ready for it yet and he needs to put some more work into preparing for it. Instead of telling him he doesen't have any skill why not try and give some positive feedback instead.

And you know all that negative Karma you have, maybe that should be a sign you need to lighten up. Cause if you don't get it when that many people tell you to lighten up, your the one who is more likely to be overcompensating for something by throwing yourself into negative arguments.

Instead of flaming him for doing this, which is exactly what he said would NOT convince him to stop doing this why don`t we all give some friendly advice on how he can stay safe. Which might save his ass since he obviously plans on going though this.

The whole enterprise is bogus. Even if his friends manage to pull him up over 50 he will hit some slight imperfection in the pavement or vortex of the tow vehicle that will cause him to go into oscillations that will intensify if he holds on to the tow rope and he will slam.

If he gets over 50 and the tow vehicle does not keep accelerating or slows down even slightly the tow line will go slack and he will run over it and slam. If the tow vehicle slows just a bit and then accelerates to keep him from running over the rope then it will jerk him right off the board and he will slam.

The entire "attempt" is ludicrous.

You shouldn't have brought Chrise's medical history into the discussion in the first place. Insisting on bringing it up especially in the terms you are, reveals a serious lack of character and respect for him and others. You are willingly targeting Chris personally using this as ammunition. It has nothing to with skateboarding or the 100mph attempt. Nothing but cheap shots, totally uncalled for.

From all the "points", you listed before, namely Chris being a "liar", a "poser" and a kook" not a single one justifies, by any means this kind of attack.
