CL you are such a kook.

I could argue about the lame points that you made for days.

It's a freaking one lane road!!!!! Wtf does he do when something happens? ONE LANE is NOT enough to manuver in at 100mph.

This does NOT compare to skating 80mph down a hill on a closed course.
This does NOT compare to Biker's stunt.

I don't know about you CL, but i Do not...like being looked upon as some sort of

rebellious kook. If you want to be running from the police to

"skate fo' life" then fine. Have fun with that image. I, for

    one, do not support that.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate having that "punk ass skater" image.
Do what you all like. Have fun. Ruin it for the better of us if you'd like....

Nice...calling somebody brain damaged because you have a pic of them undergoing a medical exam? High intense foci or even Hyper intense foci via MRI does not equate to brain damage...wow I think you learned something today! But whats next on your agenda? Insulting a cancer patient about to go skydiving?

False, In theory you could reach 500+ mph, but because of "drag" (the upward force of wind on your body/ free-falling object) an object will reach terminal velocity. Terminal velocity for a human during freefall is about 120 mph...

False...drag can be offset based on altitude of the jump point, that 120mph figure is based on a freefalling figure with a partially opened chute.

"Longest Time in Freefall for One Skydive"

The greatest freefall delay made in one jump was carried out by Captain Joseph Kittinger. He jumped from an altitude of 84,700ft (25,820m) from a balloon in Tularosa, New Mexico, United States on the 16th August, 1960. His freefall lasted for 4 minutes and 37 seconds before his canopy automatically opened. Throughout his skydive he achieved freefall speeds of up to 614 miles per hour (1,000 kph)."

Kittinger reached 614 mph. 120 is about right for most jumps in the troposphere.

And Robert Dunlop was killed there this May. There is a reason it is no longer a MotoGP venue. And racing speeds on real roads is why there is such a good supply of healthy donor organs.

Nice...calling somebody brain damaged because you have a pic of them undergoing a medical exam?
No. It is the seizures and tremors that got him there.

Thanks. It is readily evident in the video.

I am pretty amazed at how up in arms people are getting about this...
threads like this are why I go on SF less and less. Too much flaming, not enough support or useful criticism, in my opinion. If the kid wants to go for it, let him do it. Enough bagging on people you don't know.

boardingkaos: please for the sake of our sport and your family don't go through with this.
If you're putting washers in the back truck you obviously don't know enough nor have enough experience to attempt this. Thats asking to lose traction in even the slightest turn at speed.
also the Topgear leathers you are using are shitty and will get torn to shreds if you fall at any significant speed.

if you do go through with this: good luck and i hope you survive.
oh and alpha: yes of course you are right. about everything.

yeah for eff's sake get some good leathers.

Cheap ones are stretched too far when they tan the leather and it makes them significantly weaker.

watching the vid posted. and seeing that road makes me very nervous, just going by that vid alone this kids not ready for it.
That road is not smooth enough , any bump that he rides over with his proposed set up will send him fly`n. , and just look at what hes going to be bailing into . the sides of the road with the many fences and lamp post look like making mince of him.
You would really have to close it sweep it , hay bail it,
I really hope this kid is a lot better than his vid of him doing 50kph .
Id like to see someone do 100mph that would be awesome . but man this is all looking and sounding rather fool hearty.
Ask guys doing 75/80mph , every increase of speed combined with road conditions significantly increases your chances of serious injury if it all goes to poop.
I think over all everyone just wants to see a lot more safety and thought put into this,
and if you do go a head and pull it off it will be nothing less than amazing.

    good luck

120 is nevertheless not the "maximum speed". If you free-fly speed is around 200mph and head-dive speed is around 160mph

The Isle of Man will be hosting the TTxGP race next year alongside TT races...

...and his mom supports him? if he gets hurt there are going to be 100 articles about bad parenting combined with sports, so im not really worried about the trashing all longboarders.. if he successful, it does not matter b/c there is no proof, an no a camcorder is not proof you need calibrated equipment with certified technicians working it in order to get an accurate reading, by doing something as simple as changing the diameter, of the tire, you can change the reading of your vehicle's speedometer.. police cruisers are certified you should have an independent and unbiased tech there to witness this - but If you are going to do something that may put your health at risk, I would sure as hell be 100% sure that it will be recognized. you are making yourself a public figure and what you are doing here is quite extreme, so you should expect alot of people to be vocal about it

Connor, I'm trying to say this in the least dicky way, but when you got arrested you were telling everyone what happened in such a rebellious attitude you gotta admit lol
I don't believe for one second he's doing this to be a rebel. He just has a goal, a pretty ####### dangerous goal, and wants to achieve it.
