jumping out of plane, terminal velocity on average is around 180mph. some dudes do capsule dives and hit over 200.... too much resistance on a skateboard. the laws of physics won't allow it easily?
just seems 2 wheels makes sense. 1 up front and one in the back. but then it aint a skateboard? 4 allows too much chatter and has curious lines at high speeds. just wonder what a sensible 100mph skateboard would look like. you guys got pics?
let's see!

Terminal velocity is usually more like 120mph, but your right, much higher speeds can be reached with capsule dives.
And your right again, the laws of physics will never let you go down a hill at 100mph.
Before you make a mess of things....including yourself, have you considered that the air behind a car doing 100 mph is turbulent? You'll get slammed by it since it comes not only from the front but from the sides, top, and yes even behind if you're close enough to the tow car. When going down hill, the air is fairly calm, that's why the tuck works so well. If by chance you pass a car or truck coming the other way.....your dead!.....the air will be so turbulent you'll never stay on the board. Find a big hill and go fast.
ok. this thread is kind of fun because it's pretty much failing all feasibility tests BUTT!!!
imagine a road at an insane pitch where anything with wheels gets over 100mph just going down. now imagine this almost vertical hill that after a 1/4 mile starts to level out.
whalla! you got a great place to see potential funerals in the making!
anyone know of a road like that?

Wrong, fail.

If the hill is steep enough...hell yes the laws will allow it.
yes its super possible. the world speed record for downhill skiing is currently 150mph!!! which i am trying hard to find a video of right now. but good luck finding a paved road that has that kind of slope. and a skiing tuck is really tight to.
ah found one haha damn thats fast 155mph looks sick and the female record is pretty close behind at 151mph!! these cats are crazy
Skis don't get speed wobble; no trucks. But I've got to believe that a purpose-built skate setup could do it on the right hill.
regardless of tuck, if a 130 lb. female skier is facing 151 mph of wind resistance, its gonna be tough.
