so how long is a long time? enough to get the the board and safety gear together.
Have you mentally prepared for this. I mean sat some where alone in silence and visually went through the whole thing for at least an hour. Imagining everything how it would turn out perfectly. your exact stance, what your hands are doing, your feet, where they are placed when to change your body position, ... etc. Well yeah thats what I would do. power of the mind.
I do not know much about speedboarding, just started this year in february.
How long have you been doing this for?
So has this flaming taken away any of your confidence? it would of taken away some of mine.
Definately work you way up to 100mph.
just go 85mph so many times that it starts to get boring. then 90mph
GET SOME MAGUNZ. Seriously though, I'd recommend an evo or a dh race for this type of stunt.
I told you on facebook and will tell you again. This is a dumb idea. Biker Sherlock did the same thing.
BTW, the amount of wind resistance you will be dealing with will be enough to throw you pretty hard. Going 60 and then airbraking can be pretty intense. I really hope you have thought this through.
My prayers are with you. Make sure you work up to 100 and you don't just go straight for it.
Also, make sure you don't hit any of those electrical poles.
im really hopping u werent making fun of the street luger who hit a pole and died
that wouldnt be funny at all
if u fall will u stil psote the video? i wanna see it regardless
"live for today" has a really good point
wind n' wobbles
u must remmber wobbles arent down in the board, their up in your head

Dude,
Don't do this.......
You are planning on doing this on a public road?
What if something goes wrong and you cause a car accident
that ends up killing a family travelling home in their car....
Not to mention the bad things that could happen from the car itself
doing 100 mph, on top of pulling a kid on a skateboard.
Seriously, this is just plain idiotic.... You stand to do more damage
to the sport than good, whether you pull it off or not...
Who are you proving this to? Biker Sherlock did his thing on
a close course with all kinds of professionals present,
a huge difference than what you're planning.
I'm no speedboarder, but I think what you have in mind is a bad idea. DO NOT DO THIS! And I have to ask, if you got towed at 85mph, can we see the video?
No offense, but in the video you posted, you couldn't of been going much past
35 and that's being generous... I'm not out to insult you in any way, but what I saw was not very fast...
If you're really planning this, I suggest you reconsider, it isn't worth it!
Speed isn't everything, 35 is fast for me on a good day....

MAke sure the road is closed (or at least put up a million warning signs) get peramedics STANDING BY! And what wheels are you gunna use? I assume something giant so you wont fly off your board when you hit a bump. Go check the road a few days or whatever before and make note of any road imperfections, and if possible, fill any cracks with caulking or something. Also, make sure the road is clean, you may be able to get a street sweeper to help you out.
I wonder if there is a paved road somewhere on this planet that is possible to bomb on a speedboard and reach 100mph with only the help of gravity.
The quest continues, but I imagine that were such a place to exist, the massive board-fest that would amass there daily would cause a planetary catastrophe, wherein SOMEONE travels up to 100MPH and travels back in time.
Im just going to pray................... that the outcome of this stunt does not affect speedboarding or create even more laws and regulations to make it much harder for any of us to practice it.
We gave him our advice and said what we could.
good luck and dont die.

It sucks when you decicde to do something and people only come with negative comments, here's a story of another record attempt.
Breaking news.....Daredevil and extreme speed climber, Mike Hunt, has attempted to break the world record for the fastest ascent of Mount Everest. Although some people have questioned the validity of the attempt, as Mr Hunt used a helicopter to reach the top. Mr Hunt, who lives in Holland, claims that coming from a flat land and not having access to a climbing wall, means that he's unable to practise climbing for the record attempt, and therefore believes this to be justification for using the chopper to reach the summit. He also added that he did practise climbing in and out of the helicopter a few times.
Sorry mate but getting towed by a car just to go 100mph, is, as other's have pointed out, just lame.
You'll try this any way, i'm sure, so take some roller blades so that if it does go t1ts up then your "support team" can swop 'em for the sk8board and you'll avoid creating more negative impressions of sk8ers....plus i'd love to see a photo of your support team running around the country side in there best red "baywatch" shorts looking for a drowning person to save.
What's the last thing to go through a fly's mind when it hits your windshield? It's balls! don't let it be you
there isnt much to prove or isnt much honor in being towed to that speed. i cant convince you not to do it but there are a few things i want to say
-i agree with TVAR, your video didnt give me much confidence, might want to work on that tuck
-if you win the darwin award you wont be around to enjoy it

Dude, are you sure about this?! Man, there's so much fun stuff you can do an a skateboard. Why are you risking so much? It's not worth it.. If, you really plan on going forward with this please be careful. We are talking about something that's really dangerous.

That's the least you can do!

Doesn't look like a pussy to me. He also did a tow-in on a motorcycle....I've seen it on the Discovery Channel, I guess it was the Stunt Junkies show. Can't remember how fast he was trying to go...
@boardingkaos: Again, if you are going forward with this, which I couldn't advise less...You should try and find this video of Biker Sherlock, I remember it had lots of info of the dangers evolved, equipment, winds...I'm sure it can be useful.

Re: My upcoming 100mph attempt
Good ####### luck. I personally think this is really stupid, but if you feel you can, than do it. Please just don't kill yourself. Maybe you should wear a neck roll so you dont break or hurt your neck.
The quest continues, but I imagine that were such a place to exist, the massive board-fest that would amass there daily would cause a planetary catastrophe, wherein SOMEONE travels up to 100MPH and travels back in time.
Think about it.
If you could mount a flux capacitor to your board you would only need to hit 88.
Ok, this is just stupid. Someone find this kids parents phone number, and call them. Maybe someone wise and older can reach them and alert them to this sick stunt. Chris Booth, Mason, Ohio
