You may have also noticed the big green yard signs that remind motorists to slow down. These, too, may be requested by calling your district officer. The officers of Mason would like nothing better than to not have to respond to an accident where one of our kids has been hurt. You can do your part. It may not be your neighborhood, but it is someone's.

Remember: It's our town. Please slow down.

hey if he got one of those trailers sent to the road where hes "doing" this he would at least have a better gauge of how fast hes going and i would believe it.

    Neighborhood Speedwatch

Neighborhood Speedwatch is simple. A group of neighborhood residents are trained by a Police Officer in the use of a special radar device that tracks speeders. The device is loaned to citizens at no charge from the City of Mason's Police Department. An initial petition, signed by at least 3 residents of the neighborhood, must be on file with the Police Department before the Speedwatch can be launched.
Residents monitor traffic speed at different times during the day and night for three consecutive days. Two citizens are required for each data collection period; one operates the radar unit and the other records the required vehicle information.
When alleged speeders are detected by radar, information including their license number, the time of the infraction, and other items are recorded on a special form submitted to the Mason Police Department.

I didnt read through this entire thread, but instead of a solid stack of washers on your rear truck, why not de-wedge the rear to 0 degrees and put in some very hard bushings. This way you will still be able to lean and steer the board without having one of your wheels lift of the ground, or fighting against the lean of te front truck. If you wanted to minimize the amount of lean while stillf retaining some steering ability you could thin out the hard bushings to half their thickness, and then use washers to make up the height difference. I say experiment with a few more things and then give it a go. Superbike riders bail all the time going well over 100mph, and their are very very few fatalities. On your public road however, I would be most afraid of wobbling out, and sliding right into one of those telephone poles. Maybe you could find a local drag strip to do this on, or even speak to a local race track or something like that. Best of Luck, I bet you pull it off without a problem.

    Try this on for size.

Do not do this. If you

    do this successfully,

    you will still probably be

    caught by the cops. If

    you fail, the cops and

    paramedics will have to

    waste our tax dollars to

    scoop your bloody

    mess off the ground. If

    you get caught, the

    downhill skateboarding

    world will be at risk.

    Remember, in such a

    small niche sport, you

    represent all of us. DO

    NOT mess up our

    culture. DO NOT do

    this. We do not care

    about you, we care

    about our sport. DO

    NOT jepordize others.

Dude, I was fu.cking arrested two weeks ago for skating 60mph on a 2 lane highway. You are going to try to hit 100mph on a ONE LANE ROAD? Dude...you have no where to go except for that one section 10 feet wide....

I don't care if you know what you are doing or not. YOU WILL get arrested. Trust me. If the police could find me and my buddies down this highway, they will definitely find you on that small little road and TRUST ME they will be pi.ssed.

No way! the other day I thought it would be an awesome idea to reach 100 mph on a longboard.

And then I realized I was just coming down off my crystal meth.

Oh yeah, tell your mom that if she has increased your life insurance policy any time recently she might have to go to jail too (insurance fraud). Not sure that would happen if you die, but she apparently knows you want to do this and isn't stopping you (and you're under 18}. At the very least she won't get the money any time soon. This isn't worth it. $hit just buy a motorcycle if you want to go that fast.

Originally, I really couldn't care less if you do this or not, I don't know you personally and I don't talk to you on here so I simply don't care, sorry. As Jam said, you represent our sport here, if you die doing this.........we get horrible rep and then they'll start to ban us from doing what we do (we don't need anymore of it) so I also agree with everyones friendly (or not so friendly advice) to just not do it. Its not worth risking your life to go 100mph on a one lane road behind a car. You have your entire life ahead of you, don't kill yourself now.

Wow. I am not a speedboarder, but I totally agree with these dudes. Don't mess up the sport for everyone because you feel the need to prove something.

Unless you have all the required permits, this attempt will be highly illegal. Highly dangerous to boot.

The sport of speedboarding may have progressed to the point of 100mph being somewhat accomplishable, but I ask you, is it worth the risk?
