this might belong in the builders forum but i wanted some speedboarder's opinions on the shape of this deck. Its definitely getting some adjustments, just need help on what. Specs: 9 ply maple, 33" wheelbase, 28" platform, 10" tapered to 9" width, overall length: ~45". thanks guys.
Looks good to me. I like that semi-kicktail thing. I think the shape is bad ass, but I think a lot of people are going to cry about how its "dangerous". Sick board.

nice, i like the idea of having the nose and tail ends far from the drop through holes. makes it less prone to breaking on impact. i have a different opinion on the kicktail though, if a heavy person tries to manual on it, it might be prone to breaking because of pressure on the thin drop through parts. but what do i know. lol. otherwise, it looks like a great board.
i would change the back shape, kinda doesnt have a purpose.otherwise, great job.
i agree, you won't use the kicktail for speedboarding. it might be useful for commuting though. but i'd rather have a smaller flexier deck for that.
but overall, i think it would be good for speed considering that its stiff and solid. i like the feel of a drop through board too.
PS. you might want to include a concave shot too.

Reason: ps
concave needs changing for sure which is why i didn't put one up. its a continuous mellow curve basically which is going to change to probably 5-7 in. of flat and a gradual ~3/8 in lip on the side.
I would jut take off the tail and tip. I just dont see any uses for em. looks nice though.
