hey guys. im planning on getting a kebbek revenger soon and setting it up with what i have laying around which is randal 35* baseplates and 180 hangers with black jimz bushing and a set of lime or pink bigzigs... but then i was wondering if i would get wheelbite with the bigzigs and the DH baseplates... do you think i would? any help would be cool. any other recommendations for wheels would be cool too if they dont work.

just try it and see. other wheels you could go with are 70mm zigzags, 70mm sector9 rf, inheats etc
hmm... what about if i cut the wheels wells a little bit? i really dont want to have to deal with getting a whole new setup and have a bunch of extra stuff laying around again... plus i really want to use these extra bigzigs i have...

The revenger has some pretty good wheelwells. I definitely recommend some 1/8th inch risers for anything over 70mm. Give it a shot and see what happens. It's a sick board no matter what wheels.

You will get wheel bite if you are just trying to ride around and not downhilling on the board. If you are going over 25 I highly doubt there will be a turn you won't be able to make because of wheelbite. I ride smokies with 83mm flys on mine sometime and I never wheelbite when I'm really riding but when I'm riding from my car to the top of the hill or to catch some other people I'll bite.
do you mind posting up a pic of yours so i can see the clearance from the wheel to the board... and i dont quite understand what your saying that i wont get wheel bite DHing, but i will if im just cruising... care to also elaborate on that also?

I think he's trying to say that when you're just cruising around at slow speeds you can make a tight turn and get wheel bite, when when going fast (30 plus) you will never have to take such a sharp turn so you wont get wheel bite. Correct me if I'm wrong?
well when your taking a corner at say 30mph... you lean into that turn like crazy... way more than you would just cruising around... if your wheels hit the board and come to a stop you would have a super choppy/scary slide into that corner...

Nope. It may feel like it but you don't lean the board as much as you do when you are just cruising around. At higher speeds you slide out at much lower angles of lean, way before you get wheel bite.

I really doubt you will get wheelbite.
The 180 hangar and the 35 degree baseplate are actually pretty tall trucks.
I could put that combo on my avenger with 76mm fly wheels and i wasnt very close to wheelbite.

Indy 215s and 71mm wheels do not get wheelbite, and it's amazing.
with Randals you will, however, get wheelbite with pretty much anything 75mm or over with semi loose trucks, especially on 35* plates
