Default Frustrating Session

So today, my group and I went to some intense hills. We were going no less than 35mph and not any faster than 50mph.
Now to some of you that doesn't seem that fast, and in all honesty, if I was really ballsy, i could have gone faster but...
All freakin day when i hit around that 50 mph mark, i would get the worst wobble's that i have ever experienced. I got 4 separate wobbles on 1 single run, and it was a real slap in the face and a blow in my confidence. Later on today, my friends and I found an even faster run. When nearing the bottom of the run, i got the wobs once again, I never fell, but these wobbles were so uncontrollable and my trucks were really trying to break loose(every time it happened, i was air breaking). My board was vibrating so intensely.

So anyway, now I'm really sketched out when i was once a speed demon, I'm not sure if its me or my setup or what.

I like to make sure that my tail is a bit stiffer than my front. maybe + 2-5a on bushing hardness in the back. I've never had wobbles up to 50 as long as my tail is a bit stiff. Thats the only gear-wise requirement I have. Other than that its all you.

yes. that is quite possible. I currently have r-2 180's with 50* baseplates with yellow khiros all around. It's always worked out for me well, but lately, in order to take turns as fast as I straight bomb, I have loosened up a big deal. I guess ill get some harder bushings in back and see how that works out. Thank you for the help.

Any more advice!?

I had my front truck way looser than by back for one run a few days ago by accident made for some light but annoying wobbles I really couldn't control at speeds past 50.... that and a ####ed wheel. I hope you've gotten better too dave.

and I mean way looser. Not the typical little bit looser.

since you mention near the bottom and standing up, i'm going to hypothesize that you were tucking, then stood up too suddenly.

I've felt that for myself, especially at higher speeds, when you stand up too fast from a full tuck, you can get mad wobs...there's even an awesome vid of it on facebook happening to a rider...

I would like to think that, but it happened 4 TIMES. Would the wind from air breaking cause wobbles?

Your center of gravity was raised very quickly and you probably shifted more weight to your back foot too even if you didn't notice it. That could easily cause wobs. Try standing up a little more slowly and consciously keep your weight more on/over the front truck.

How much do you weigh? 50degrees is a little steep. My personal remedy would be to de-wedge to 45, then go with double barrel reds in front with the yellows in back.

Or you could pick up two 42 plates and have your problem solved with less tinkering. I would still recommend that you try reds in front, yellow back.

Or if you by chance want more lean try: blue front top, red front bottom, red back top, black back bottom.

42* plates would probably solve your problem, What board are you riding? If it's an Evo just put a 42* plate on the front and you should have your problem solved.
