Default too much concave?

This summer I made a board that I now realize has too much concave for my tastes..I was wondering who here likes a lot of concave on their dh deck? It's flat-cave like a kebbek I think but dont quote me on that. What I'm trying to say is, since I never stood on a proper DH board before building mine, and have yet to, I need a frame of reference to know if this much concave is something that is something I could get used to, or something that I'd be better off without.

I like both, I have a voodoo wich has verry little concave and a Caften wich has a LOT. It both has pro's and cons. And a lot will depend on how wide the board is and how big your feet are

The most intense concave I've found on a board is 0.6", that's a drop speed. Most boards are in the 0.2"-0.4" range with various grades (i.e. progressive or flat).

I heard at one point however, of some board that had a 7/8" concave, but I forget which.

I've attached an excel sheet, with the formulas you need to compare different boards, all you have to do is enter the width, flat space, and concave height. It will then tell you how much of the board has curvature, and the average grade of the incline.

i've got everything from a DHR (impressive concave) to the evo/ epipen (less, but less is more in this case...) then the CPR....which is 99% flat....i like them all, and like riding them all, but the evo/epipen style concaves are really where i am most comfortable...

it all about preference, if you can- try different boards with different concave, even if they aren't DH boards and see what you think...

Sector9 Race, not much to assume. The concave is why you get that board.

I really like the Evo concave, I know some people hate it, but I like how it locks my feet.

thanks for the spreadsheed Zach_Wolf

I unno, I just measured my board (snicker) annd looks like I have an edge height of 1". Combine that with a width thats smaller than average I think (only about 9" at the max width), and the flat-cave shape with a flat area of only 5", standing on this thing with my feet perpendicular feels like putting my foot into a vice and cranking my toes back to touch my shins. Leverage anyone??

It just feels sketch to me... Anyone concave-o-philes interested in a buy/trade ?????
