Sector 9 Race from Dregs Alpine

Really nice modifications there man, I also have a alpine over there that I've been waiting to transform in something like this.

Did you move the front truck a little closer to the nose and the rear one too? whats the new wheel base?

Thanks. Yes I moved the front truck closer to the nose and moved the rear one closer to the front. The Dregs Alpine has a really long wheelbase and when I cut the tail off, the rear truck holes were completely gone.

The new wheelbase is about 30.5 inches. The length of the board is 38 inches.

Shorter wheelbase, better turning. Things like that.

Most speedboards are around 38''-44'' give or take. Just enough to tuck on without excess board trailing behind you.

Honestly I'm too lazy to create a template. Just make your own shape. It will probably be more fun.

I cut it down because the Dregs Alpine is pretty fricken long. I made a "clone" of my S9 Race because I want to keep it nice, flame me if you want, but they're hard to get. I got the Alpine for a waaaay cheaper than the Race deck so I will have no problem thrashing the hell out of it.

I used spray paint. Rust-oleum Painter's Touch Gloss Apple Red to be exact. Just one coat and in an hour I drew on it with sharpie. Another hour went by and I mounted the trucks. I'm impatient and we were going skating, and I don't care too much about it.

How plausible do you think it is to shorten and drop through a dregs alpine? If its thicker than the s9 race I assume its pretty beefy so it would be able to support a drop through cutout.

i think there is one that comes flush mounted for bear trucks
the alpine makes a pretty mean board if you just redrill it and make a tail cut out

I think this is going to be my next deck... I found one online for $55 shipped brand new so with a little work to redrill, drop it, reshape, and paint it- it should make for a pretty damn nice deck for that price. I found an old thread from like 2004 that gave the history of this deck:

"As for the story of the board, it originally was supposed to be a sector 9 board, it actually is an evolution of the sector 9 raceboard (ever noticed it is exactly the same shape, only bigger ?), the longer shape was manu antuna's idea, a french rider. Dregs got the shape because at the time sector 9 didn't want to create raceboards."

Ok, so I know this is a pretty stupid question, but I'm ready to get flamed.
I cannot find a single piece of info on the S9 Race deck.
Everyone says "Oh they are not commercially sold.", and "Oh yeah, I have one."
Where do people get them and why does sector 9 not sell them?
