yeah it is a first pass - trying to summarize all the input. Very easy to modify. The platform can easily be extended nose and tail if need be. I took the photos with my phone . they even look weird to me. I will play with it more tmrw and give it more platform. wheel wells is a cool idea...lets keep the input coming. thanks

If you ask me yes, axe the axe

I`d be happy to have the board at 39-40" , 2"or 2,5" nose and tail is enough IMO.

agreed, I think that there is too much width near the dropthrough mounts. as long as it doesn't sacrifice the the strength around the crucial dropthrough mounts, i would get ride of that added width. maybe make each nose more of a "U" shape, simplier yet more efficient. I pressed a board that had too much width around the dropthrough mounts and it was a pain the ass, much sanding was done to eliminate wheelbite.

Other than that the board looks ######' awesome, deff. a board i could consider purchasing in the future, that rocker is intense

I think the cutouts look bigger than they are because those wheels are pretty small all over. I like the plateform and the size of the cutouts, but Im not digging the nose either.

IMO make the nose more like the pagan's, if a little bigger. That added material on the axe will just serve to make the board heavier and more ungainly. Those wheels are also QUITE small, so the cutouts are a bit exaggerated in the photos, and look nice to me. However, wheel wells and an extended platform length are great things to play with.

Blix has the dims down, those sound awesome.

I have to add though, that i REALLY like the platform shape, with the progressive waist. Really nice.

edit: also against the axe, the nose getting wide-thin-wide is never a good combination as far as strength goes, the added width of the axe will most likely just increase the likelihood of the neck snapping.

i agree, the axe looks silly, however, the rest of the shape looks good. the rocker looks a little scary, but something i'd really love to try.

    Very impressed.

Curve he nose and tail and make them smaller and I'd say you have
a board to rival the hairpin.

I am for a pagan style nose, but maybe beefed up some more. I think a bigger platform is the main concern though

This board looks killer. Dig the shape and rocker. I agree that a pagan shape/style nose would fit well for the nose/tail of this deck. Adding wheel wells would also allow more of a standing plat form/ well clearance. Looks like a very successful project. Very rad that everyone has given their input and is stoked on something they helped create.

Yeah JP, we are proud to be a part of this, and a big thanks to Comet for doing it.
The board is going to be pretty unique and a killer freeride board with it`s features.

i like the idea of the nose and tail! especially the tail.

i think keeping it a bit chunky is a good thing, it looks super robust, that's important.
if it's rounded off like circle suggests, it might be eaiser on the eye, trick is to do it without losing its strength and the function of the ends (i'd like that).
bobrules is bang on about the cutouts. big decks look odd with small wheels, especially in photos.
and, as is stated by most people, blend this with the pagan and you could be heading for something pretty smart.

    good to see the progress!

Okay, so here's my last comment before I get the prototype. Keep the widht of the nose/tail. Keeping it as wide as possible without interfering with the wheels on 180mm trucks just makes sense. So if you just shorten the nose with 1-1,5" and make a Pagan front we would have a beefed up Pagan nose that would look sick. Stretch the standing platform a tiny bit and make some wheelwells. And voila, dreamboard done

And thanks for making this board! I love the fact that you are making the board we want! Cannot wait to stand on it and feel the magic I'm sure is within this board!

Jason, I'm impressed by you taking in the thoughts of your "test pilots" And openmindedly honoring them. I think ,as you, the pics make it look a bit different than the real deal. The 3rd pic of it unmounted shows the profile in a more true light I think. Re: the wheel cut outs.. they do seem large, and a 68mm wheel is similar to a standard 70mm wheel, so that "optical illusion" Doesn't seem correct. The rocker looks sweet... All the best! Nice looking stuff~!!!!!!

    So here is the plan...

What you see is big zigs with randal 180 50 degree. No wheel bite. Totally shredable.

I left room for other angle base plates b/c we have a lot of choices out there. Took the extension of platform seriously but the question of how much still existed. Since this is an iterative process which depends on your riding and feedback, I thought it would be good to form a consensus b4 altering that aspect.

I am putting this into production today. Folks in the east will be skating early next week. I will send tracking #s tmrw.

I took the board down to 40'' - same riding platform. Which my size 11s are loving.

I am thinking of offering 2 flex patterns. So keep that in mind... but not to confuse this already in depth process.
