Comet- A freeride/fun time deck

I just got two hours of ride time on it this morning, and WOW. Predrifts were so controllable, i was able to hook right back up where i wanted, when i wanted, and standup drifting was very controllable. Fun stuff!

i might do mine with a backgammon theme, that way if we ever meet we can throw down some proper board game shenanigans too

Nah, I'm using some freebord slashers. I already had them on some trucks, and I like em a lot...

I have trucks ready with 76mm blue Kryptos, going to start with wheels I`m familiar skating, and will check out the checkers eventually

I would like to offer my sympathies to the people who have to listen to us talk about riding this deck while they are still waiting for theirs to arrive, however it is worth the wait. I just had it out for the first time and it is a blast. Great concave, comfy rocker, the standing platform gave me just enough room (5' 10") and it is just wide enough to get some good leverage (10.5 shoe). I was also pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the Checkered Wheels. I am also looking forward to trying my Powerballs that are already broken in. This deck is very confidence inspiring, however I took it easy, see pic, this is what my ankle looked like Thursday. The other pic is of my four year old practicing his tuck-so cool.

let's just put it this way, keeping the board sideways for 50-75ft @ 40mph in a pre drift has never felt so easy

Watching those slide yesterday was impressive. Great looking wheels and they performed fantastically given the god-awful road conditions with the heavy layer of gravel.

Hahaha, awesome! Good to see you've already ridden the life out of those checkers! Makes me hate the snow and ice even more + where is my USPS guy? hehe, guess I'll have my board by thursday or something

Dude, keith ####### gnarbar. I'm not good enough to throw 40 mph predrifts, but the slower ones I did feel so good on this board, really easy to keep sideays and then bring back.

On a wheel note, i switched out my slashers for some yellow earthwing freerides, as i was getting some footbite. This board was MADE for 70mm and under wheels. They really shine. Stoked!
