woah, i had a totally different definition of gas pedal. I thought it was like an extension of the deck. But what you're talking about sounds better. Whoops.
Jason, please make this board! Messing around on soft wheels is getting huge!
I would definitely make a drop through option. Deep concave is a must! The rocker should help with being locked in. IDK about torsional flex, You want the board to be stiff so it can be more predictable in a standing slide. However, a hit of torsional flex could be ok.
I say drop you should drop it slightly and then you have a winner along with the gas pedals, it's nice to have pockets in the front and back of the board when your doing stand up slides.
+1 for asymmetrical tips to help those of us who run asymmetrical bushing combos
+1 for deeep concave (and curious about rocker)
+1 for a stiff deck with no torsional flex
+1 for making it super low - what about a DOUBLE DROP? Drop thru plus just a little bit of a dropped platform, about as much as a nemesis maybe.
And, the current Comet graphics suck hard, the older ones were WAAAAAAAY better... having a nice graphic on the bottom is good, at least for when you get highsided.
I'm really curious to see this monster come alive...
Keep it symmetrical, an asymmetrical feel can be achieved by wedging, angles, and bushings. In tuck, the board ends up being asymmetrical especially if the board is tapered in the middle.
I think a hint of flex would be fine. Not sure if the torsional flex would be good or not. A stiff deck makes a more predictable ride.

A bit of torsional flex feels nice when drifting/standup sliding to me. Stiff laterally(horizontally? i dont know, not a trampoline) is a must though.

Screw dropthrough. If your going to make a freeride specific board I say give it a small drop, like 3/4". Just something to lock into with your feet.
I very much agree.

I like the purple. A lot. Teal design? Straight out the 90s.
edit: I'm all for drop through, i don't like the feel of dropped boards.
Agreed on the drop through. As for the graphics, I dig the sort of baked illustrations you guys are putting on the decks, who's the artist? Purple all the way.
yeh, im liking the idea of a symetrical board with the gas pedal and the rocker. I dont thnk it needs to be drop through and i think the rocker will help lock your feet in so no dropping either.
i think it should be a relatively good price, comet boards kick ass but their price is a bit to much in my opinion. I say some nice deep tub concave, i am in love with subsonics .75 tub concave.
