As a spagnostic I love the FSM. However, I don't think His Noodly Appendages make the best graphic choice for this skateboard, aesthetically or politically.

Alright so I read a bit on ID and still, It's just a skateboard and should not be taken to seriously. If FSM is gonna be a big problem maybe the name is not a smart choice either.

I do find the ID parody that is FSM quite humorous and maybe it can be seen as a symbol to not take everything so seriously... Though I see how that may not be everyones opinion. Still, how many orthodox ID followers will stumble upon the Comet FSM anyways?

Rodgons graphic is still my favorite so far, so unless something better comes along it still has my vote

yah.. I dont know why it shows up so light... on photoshop its a dark dark color... photobucket makes it look like a lavender... oh well. lost in gamma translation.
I remixed it a little bit hoping to get a darker purple.

Rodgon said he was unsure about what to do because the opinions were very mixed, I was simply trying to get people to post THEIR opinions in a organized manner so perhaps we could actually make some progress.

And I seriously doubt the "religion" behind the FSM would affect anything ...

I just think that there is no reason why we should vote on changes Rodgon should make before we actually get a "winning" graphic. If Rodgon's graphic wins, then yes we should ask him to change font's etc. if that is what most people want. There is no need to ask him to do this extra work right now. What if his design won't be used?

It's perfectly fine, though I was under the assumption that the majority was going for his graphic... I guess we will just have to see after the vote

Keep the graphic submissions coming some really nice stuff

I think that is part of why the community has shifted from calling it the Flying Spaghetti Monster to calling it the FSM, which could have many meanings (my favorite being Freeride Stoke Machine). While to people like you and I, who do not have religious beliefs which include ID, can find humor and alternative, lighthearted meaning in FSM (I really like your extrapolation of not taking everything too seriously), many people will be offended. I think you would be shocked to find out how many followers of ID and creationism there are in the US. How many of those people skate, I have no clue.

Thank you for engaging in a real dialogue with me rather than starting a pointless flame war. I think the fish needs more of this kind of interaction. Comet FSM FTW!

I'm gonna go ahead and start off the voting for [b]fonsle[b] because it's community based. It doesn't say anything but it says a lot. And best of all, it's symmetrical.

And Jason, I emailed you guys a couple days ago with a question. Just wondering if it got lost in the shuffle or something.
