Comet- A freeride/fun time deck

okay, so i've got some time.

let me start off by saying, i haven't stood on my hairpin in forever. however, it is lying next to me at my desk.

HAIRPIN:
Drop through: Yes
Concave: Aggressive flat-cave
Rocker: no
Camber: maybe .25 of inch.
Beefy nose-tail: No (one hard curbing destroyed mine, and on the FSM it has hit a few times with no major damage)
Wheel wells: No
Tapers: Yes

FSM:
Drop through: Yes
Concave: tub/regular concave
rocker: yes
camber: no
beefy nose-tail: YES
Wheel wells: yes
Tapers: Yes

Major in-ride differences.

Hairpin:
The camber of the hairpin makes it dampen the ride a little, and gives it a little bit of a pop coming out of standies and such. The aggressive concave is good if you get used to it. Otherwise, it kinda hurts your feet. The nose and tail fall apart pretty easy. It is a fun ride, but there is something, IMO, better out there...
FSM:
The rocker/concave of the FSM allows you to push through slides, and hold the standies out longer, the beefy nose and tail allow for shovit's and the such easier. The rocker and concave does not hurt your feet, and locks you in like a step-in snowboard binding.

The FSM has some a different flex which makes it dampen the ride.

Both boards can handle speed, and both boards work just as well.

After riding both, I think that i would stick with the FSM...
It is lighter, more comfortable, and well constructed.

So yeah, although it is similar, they are two different boards.

Cannot decide which I like more of those two, but I'm leaning towards the "freeride stoke machine". Great job Botofusup!

Great job on the board Jason, it looks like just what was asked And just to think of an improvement over the current proto.. craaaaazy! The more I ride this board, the more I think I'll still be riding the proto even if I have the prod. model aswell. Just set them up differently
