Purple stain or paint? Which is more eco-friendly?

depends on what you use. A petroleum based paint would be less environmentally friendly than a natural coloring stain, but it could also go the other way....

I think you're right, the stain would look cooler.

The shape definitely needs to allow you to stand close to the trucks. Nothing like on the kebbek boards where the standing platform is way far back from the trucks mounts.

The platform thing is really important. I have been working with Justin (Pagan) on that perfect balance. I think designing for a 70mm to 78mm wheel is cool... how many people are planning on rocking anything bigger for this board?

I can`t se I`ll ever use anything larger than 75-76mm on it. On super loose trucks of course.

I'm not even considering getting wheels bigger than 76mm . Biggest wheel I've owned for years are the faboulus 76mm Fly's. So sick drift

1" Rocker sounds nice, and 30" WB will hopefully leave some meat at the ends so we don't get a Hellcat v.1 issue with the breaking nose. But there must be dropthrough anyways I would easily sacrifice another " of WB for a little more meat at the nose/tail.

So, I'm really excited about this deck, and couldn't resist to play with the pagan to make a boardshape I would think is close to optimal. A little more meat at the nose/tail, and maybe even a little skinnier waist. but check it out guys Since it's not a dropped board you could probably move the cutouts a little further towards the nose/tail.

Edit: whoa! just noticed the neon green/yellow on the purple... that color combo looks awesome

Some people might wanna use something like the 85mm Blue Kryptonics, but they don't make those wheels anymore...

i feel as if there should def be more meat at the nose and tail. and as for the "waist" you don't want to go to narrow.

edit: i was going to say something about the blue krypto's but i forgot whether they were 80mm or 85mm and didn't want to get flamed for a dumb error.

The 76mm Blue Kryptos rocks, so no need to sacrifice space for 85mm wheels

The standing platform stays at it's original width for a couple inches before starting to taper in the middle, I prefer that style as to the one posted above which reminds me of a hairpin

Yeah, I agree with you on the taper thing. Yours look better, or at least different(I'm biased towards the mockup I made though :P) My two gripes with your design though is the cutouts that look like a Nemesis, and the nose/tail that look like a dropspeed + the Kebbek's.
A combo of your taper/waist, with the existing nose(+1cm to make it sturdier) and similar cutouts like the Pagan has would probably be awesome.

I use 80mm freebord slashers, but that's the biggest. I dont really use anything smaller, they're my wheel of choice...

That color combo looks awesome, grape and yellow koolaid.

As for shapes, both of those posted look great, i really like the pagan nose and tail, NSC's shape is really clean.

ps. When i get it, i'm rocking it with randal 42s

Paris 180`s for me, and the 68mm wheels Comet will send us.
After those Comet wheels are done, it`ll be either EW Freeriders, O-Tang Freerides, Gravity Drifters or Fishballs.
