The comet 68's rock. I have/had them on my galaxy's sleeves, and they're awesome for standup's and drifts. A hair small, but nothing too bad. They're also centerset which is the BOMB. And they wear really nicely.

Yeah Nick, looks like they worked nicely for you in this video:

I better order some bearings....

Well, yes, to an extent. These feel SUBSTANTIALLY different than say, zig zags, or slashers, or orangatangs in regards to the pavement. I can't really describe it in words, it's more of a feel thing.
Regardless, they're great wheels on any pavement surface.
Edit: maybe this helps. It feels like the urethane has a more prominent change when the pavement differs.

Just ordered some paris 180's when I signed up for this testpilot program When the comet wheels are done I'm going to put my 76mm fly's or fishballs on there.

I think my comet wheels are going to be like 50mm by the end of testing

BINGO BANGO. This is a wicked good idea. Works much better with how your feet are positioned i.e. at angles.
Please go with nsc1120's suggestion.
I think that 75mm wheel max would be great. Leave it up to the user if they want to make the necessary modifications to allow a larger wheel. I would love to see 85mm wheel max, but the majority of rounded lip wheels these days are 76mm or less.
gas pedals are the ####.... i have a feeling that this board is going to resemble my hairpin a lot, but i'm not to worried, in fact, i love my hairpin. so this board should be baller as all hell

[Brian Holden] 7:07 pm: can the cops get your weed back?
Cutouts with wheelwells is an awesome thing, then the standing platform can be even closer to the trucks.
I might be stupid, but I still don't really see the point of gas pedal concave or whatever it's called.
Is it so that when you take a really sharp turn and sometimes only touch the edge of the board you will have more board that grips your feet than just the regular angle of the edge? Because what I can tell from the picture posted earlier in this thread looks just like someone just removed a lot of the concave on the back of the board, almost made the board convex in the back, wich would suck for every other situation.
And if the guys at Comet don't have any experience with gas pedals, I really hope they don't just add something funky to the board.
Resembling a Hairpin is a great thing, that board is killer. But 1,25" shorter and a shorter wheelbase + rocker will make this board even more awesome and a totally different board

^^^ I've been debating it to myself, and It seems that it would give good leverage for toeside slides, but for heelside, there would be no concave to push your toes up against... I've never made/used them, so i don't know, but I think wheel wells would be a better addition than gas pedals--if you want to make them, then go for it on your own deck...
I'd like to try them though, so i can actually speak from experience. Can someone who HAS experience on them say some stuff about em?

I'm gonna customize my proto if I think it would make it a better board, adding bigger wheelwells if I see the need etc. thats one of the reasons we get prototypes right? Then take loads of pictures and share them with the other testpilots + Comet.
