I tried looking through this thread but couldn't find my answer.

Will dropped through 42* Randals with 70mm wheels get wheel/rail/hanger bite while moving or will the 42s drop it too low? What about flipped 50*? Also the Comet site doesn't say but does the deck come gripped?

I'm beginning to love my final fsm more and more. I just flatspotted my EW freeriders like crazy though, so now the ride is a little rough...

I just bought bought 42 degree Randal baseplates without even thinking about that this might be a problem. Currently i use Retro Freerides, and with this setup i got wheelbite and even railbite. You have to keep in mind that i still have the FSM proto version (shorter standing platform without wheelwells)

After messing around with a lot of different bushing combinations i ended up using 77a Abec Jimz (bottom) and 90a Venom barrels (top). Same in the back. It's still really turny and has sooo much lean, it feels great. i guess if i jumped on it while turning i could get it to railbite but that should not be an issue.

Overall i am very satisfied with the 42 degree plates, it's a cheap upgrade and definately worth it.

take those kryptos and turn them into freerides, and take the indies and make them hybrids, and you will have the best freeride setup known to man.

those are hybrids. and why in the hell would i ride freerides when i have old kryptos available???? that doesnt make any sense to me. kryptos are THE wheel for this deck.

agreed, why replace the ultimate freeride wheel with something different? blue kryptos slide like butter.

The ultimate is the racecore Kryptos because of the insane 27mm contact patch, but you can`t beat that slippery blue `thane..

Obviously he's never seen hybrids or he would have recognized them and as for the freeride question I actually agree though I know I'm in the minority

Finally got my FSM! Anyway heres my thoughts on it.
My initial thoughts of it out of the box was wow this board is pretty light for its size and pretty freakin stiff.
My set up is Randal 180 42* with Khiro red bushings and Lemon Retro freerides. I haven't noticed any wheel or rail bite unless I really try hard to get it. The only bite I got was actually from my shoe running over the top of my front wheel when I tried to manual. Other than that the board rides extremely smooth and doing slides on it is pretty easy. Gonna try it out on some hills later but for now that is all.

    here's my story:

got the proto, love it. out of al my decks it gets most of my attention.
new fangled fsm drawn up and posted out to all and sundry.

parcel arrives at my door over a week ago.
oh! what glee as i rip off the tape.
balls, it's a voodoo, it's flown miles across the pond and it's the wrong deck.
it's an intergalatic, stellar case of confusion and disappointment.
i howl like a dog that's stolen a bone only to find it's prosthetic hip joint.
i write an email to comet and hold tight.

i place the voodoo next to a bright orange monkey in our living room.
the deck is much admired by folk.
i hear back from comet, they're going to sort out this predicament.

i change my desktop to fsm related pictures in honour of their good conduct.
i hold tight and we exchange some courteous warblings.

tonight i receive a mail suggesting i keep the voodoo.
    chawhat?
    chawho?
    chaWOW!

and my fsm will be soaring across the ocean very soon.

absolutley bananas! for me and the monkey.
comet are righteous, big it up.

The Voodoo is sick too. Now you've got the only 2 decks you'll ever need outside of a tech slide board. =D
