I Just recieved my new Comet FSM today! I had a custom job by ordering the deck in a shorter length of 36 inches (easier to commute on college campus). I love this board. Have the stock Orangatang Stimulus wheels and randals. This board is extremely fun and it rips! Slides and carving are a dream on this board. The only negative I can think of is the minor wheel bite at extreme turns (only a problem when going slow; not enough wheel bite to through you off the board). I had previously owned an original 34 but the comet FSM takes the win in my book.
"Its much like the commitment that i use when i start to enter a steep dh section on my longboard. I will not be able to to jump off; this is a sport of perfection in commitment. The consequences of a mistake can be fatal, but it is not the reason why i commit. It is my fate, the control of my life. You see, I am not afraid of dying; I am afraid of not living."
Will somebody please answer this Question
Does this board come gripped or does it have to be applied?
If you are buying just the deck you will need to grip it yourself. I like the 3M stair tape from Home Depot @ $12 a roll. I might try Vicious next however. If you want a complete check out Mile High Skates.

got the freeride stoke machine version what setup u runnin?
That is the graphic to get! I designed it BTW (I'm feeling a little down today so that helped). Anyway, I ran Randals on my prototype with either Comet Checkers or Powerballs. The Checkers are a lot of fun. I currently have my production deck setup with Indy Hybrids with Venom bushings and Stimulus wheels. My prototype currently has Chargers and the Checkers on it. Soooooo much fun. Ireland, on the top of my travel list once my kids get a bit older.

Ya Ireland? Dont know if its the best place to be longboarding (never stops raining) but i guess it would be something different anyways. What are the stock bushings like on the Randals would u recommend changing them? The design on the board is sweet by the way.

I like the stock Randal bushings a lot actually, it kind of depends on your weight. The FSM deck gives you a lot of leverage so it naturally helps you dive into turns. I run stock Randals on my pintail. I would suggest riding them for a while and then seeing if you want to upgrade down the road. For upgrades I really like Sabre and Venom bushings.

Whats with this mini-FSM I see on the Comet website. First the Pagan, than the FSM, than the Loki, and now a MINI fsm? How many symmetrical drop decks does one need? Too far I tell you. Too Far.
