Im trying to decide on buying an evo with 852 grizzlies with 76mm monster hawgss or buying a drop wedge with grizzly 184mm trucks and 76mm monster hawgs.
I want to hear some opinions on what to get here. Also i was wondering if i should spend a lil extra to get the 83mm fly wheels instead of hawgs. So please give me some feed back here

It really depends on what you intend to use the board for? Strictly downhill, cruising/carving, little bit of everything? Also do you have any other boards or have you ridden anything else? And do you want wheels that are going to be sticky or more drifty?
But i would say spend the money for the flys for sure

Def want downhill but i want a little bit of everything like be able to slide if i need to sort of thing but basically downhill. I have an old Urban Assault with worn as #### everything. Im gonna redo it after i buy one of these boards and make it my free ride board. And i want a combo of sticky and drifty.

83mm Flys are nice and large for rolling over debris and cracks, great for drifting, they are still pretty fast, the urethane wears well, and they are center-set so you can flip and rotate them too even the wear out so that they will last a long time.
They are worth every extra penny of cost if you ask me.
He's right, your choices depend on how you skate. Monster Hawgs and Flywheels are different types of wheels. You won't need the 10mm 184mm Grizzlies unless you just want the extra beef. You can get the 8mm 181mm Grizzlies and be fine, probably.
83mm Flywheels in 81a are pretty drifty, so if you don't like that, try some in 78a.
To me i would prefer the drop wedge. Evo to me feels dead because if that killer dewedging. With the dropwedge your front will be turny with that extra little wedge and its got a smaller wheelbase.

evo is much more bulky, bigger wheel-base, more stable, back is at a negative angle so more grippy through turns.
wedge is more carvy but great for downhill, but you may not want it with 52 deg bears.
(52+8 deg =60 deg front for speedboarding) you can still flip them for a 50 front 42 back.
I would reccomend a DROP SPEED and flip the hangars for speedboarding and unflip them for carving.
If you can't do that, I would go with a drop speed cause it's lighter and the cave isn't as deep(i think)
it's also easier to slide

so you like the drop speed over the drop wedge>?

I hate to say it but its not going to be the gears fault that you fall at 35-40. all the boards you listed are great. i say just choose one and learn on it.

Can flys handle slidding i know gumballs cant my friend ate up a pair so whats a good grippy wheel that can still slide with out chunkin off
Honestly, I usually don't reccommend sector 9 products. But there 78a racing formula wheels are AMAZING for sliding. I've drove behind patrick rizzo sliding em on a over 14% grade slope called Centennial (in berkeley) with a over sized TRICK DECK. Never seen such amazing stand up slides.
I think 78a is a perfect combination of soft riding and hard enough sliding, without chunking
I've ridden the Evo and I own the Drop Wedge. Personally, if I had to buy one of these boards, (a friend gave me a damaged one for free) it would be the DW. It stands the speeds that I mostly do with the flipped Bear 840's and it doesn't feel as dead. Now if you're looking to predominantly bomb fast, I'd say Evo, though you could techically carve (I think) on it too. It's just that the DW does more of what I want.
By the way, I would say between flys and hawgs, go with the flys. The urethane on the Hawgs makes it slow, and I found them to be somewhat too drifty at times. More unpredictable ya know. Also, I like Strikers though they're smaller. They have very predictable, smooth slides and drifts.

edit: a drop board (evo) is going to slide really well because of the leverage. you are lower and its more level with the trucks to really push them. and flys are really nice for sliding. they slide very well and with control. my flys have VERY little wear and are very nice.

quiver:
EW MM ~ 42*/35* randals ~ 80a zigzags
flexdex fat daddy ~ seismic front generic back ~ 70mm flashbacks
home made fish deck ~ revenges ~ dbs danos wheels
home made mini ~ 3" gfh ~ retro 70 zigzags
some random popsicle dont remember anything on it
custom painted deck from rodgon. (never mounted)
ive spent a lot a good deal of time riding around on an evo, personally i think its really agile for a DH board. I can take from a 40+ hill and then carve hard on narrow sidewalks. it was set up on 10mm bears with seismic blast waves. Overall its a super fun board. its good a DH, great at drifting( especially with the blastwaves), and real sturdy
