Really? You've probably been 35mph tops, so don't rag on people for wanting another deck.

No its the fact that he thinks he needs 28* plates to go 60mph

Smokies are twitchy, on a short wheelbase board, it's even more sketchy, I could easily take this board up to 60 but I'm just sayin' I wouldn't feel as comfortable. Don' tell me to sack up, I'm actually one of the rare kids that thinks your an ok guy. Check the specs, don't be all S9 loyal duder.

Shut the #### up, dude, listen to the guroo guy, if you've only hit 35 than you don't know what you talkin' about, Don't tell me to ''Man up'', for some reason that pisses me off.

Dude, look at that board, I know pat, and know that he has put time into this board. It's pretty much a better 'Race' board, I get sketched out on the wheel wells on the S9, I ride super loose and am scared shitless about wheelbite. I ride those smokeys, goin 55 with khiro 85A cone tops, venom 85 barrells, front and bones hardcore 88A and venom 90A barrells and I wiegh 160 so let's just say it's turny. Also those kryptos are down to like 55mm and I can still can get wheel bite. The fullbag has deeper wheel wells and an adjustable wheelbase, so it will be better for me. Plus, Pat designed this board with 184 kahas and 70mm wheels in mind and I got a set of kahas on the way and like 65-70mm wheels.

Re: Sector 9 Speedboards
Im sorry, but i dont think you should use 28*, try like 42*, but and elise does sound sick with some kahas, have fun with your set ups man!

One thing that can be done to reduce the twichyness is to pop out the spherical bearing in the hanger and replace it with a bushing... this is actually a common practice among almost all of the people who ride smokies.
Ya, I know, that trick changes everything, It took my a while to get used to the trucks, but once your comfortable they feel great. Smokies really shine in sweepers at higher speeds. but in my opinion it's not the spherical that makes the trucks twitchy it's the one in the pivot. I run mine without sphericals in the hangers instead with semi-soft cones, if you use bushings that already have asmaller washer on 'em you can really get a lot of lean out of these trucks.

Re: Sector 9 Speedboards
I really dont care what people think of me. Its the internet. Matt, if the smokies are twitchy, then dont ride them, its that easy. Shouldnt have to change the board, obviously its a problem with the trucks.
People can hate me all they want, i doubt i will ever see them in real life, nor do i care if they know how i am in person.
Elise is just another board, its not better, just has alot of bells and whistles. Im sure the wheel wells are just as good on both boards. I honestly think boards with the waist cut out are kinda pointless, and just make it harder to put your hand where you want it, if the waist is not where you to put your hand.
And if the wheel wells are not as deep as you need them, put on a riser or ride taller trucks. Im not going to play the, "i run my board this way" card because noone really cares how i ride my board. But you cant have everything, you have to give to take, want the board lower, run your low trucks tighter. Want the twitch to go away, take the spherical out of the pivot, and put a pivot cup or a lathed bushing in there.

i agree, sometimes people may want to talk about their set ups because they're trying to figure out what exactly it is that they like. doesn't mean we all have to jump down their throats and tell them to man up

Re: Sector 9 Speedboards
If you do end up getting the fullbag i'll be happy to get that sector nine off your hands

shorten wheelbase and/or give it a more functional shape by getting rid of what you dont need.. like that tail
btw stop arguing. matt can do whatever he wants. as far as im concerned we shouldnt be hating on people that actually skate for their gear preference.
