    Default speed checking

    I've been trying to learn it, but I've been wondering if I have the right idea for the unweighting on the heel-side.

    Am I supposed to keep my weight on top the board while i kick out (like bending my knees with my ass out, back heel on the side and head over the board? Or am i leaning my body heel-side too? Sometimes it feels like I might be leaning a bit too far heel-side and i'd fall backwards.

    I've watched the sayshun(sp?) vid and the 2nd video of Adam/louis's vid.

    I guess i'll add that i've never done a 180 stand up.

    I'd say get your 180s first, since then you'll have the whole deweighting thing down and you'll be used to the feel of standup slides. Once you have 180s speed checks just take another 15 minutes or so to learn, if that. Most likely asking here and reading won't help you that much, just get out there and learn through good old trial and error.
