    Talking Dervish Tricks & Tips

    i got a dervish for commuting and just having fun about a month ago and i want to get into some tricks. ive tried cross stepping but i get to close to the nose but ill keep trying. can you guys list some tricks and how to's? preferably easy stuff like manuals, sliding,etc,..thanks

    For cross stepping, I find it easier to step near the back of the board. Then as you cross your back foot, keep it close to your other foot. This will give you more space. You will get used to riding cross legged eventually which will make it easier to transition through cross stepping

    Manuals are tough on the dervish.The bottom mount boards are easier to manual... Get some grip and put on the top of the trucks to help your foot from slipping. Also, watch your feet. I have a bad habit of accidentally rubbing my foot on a wheel trying to manual. The Dervish is my first drop thru deck

    yeah that's what i mean. Habits are a bitch. You know, mounting the trucks on the bottom of the board, hence why i call them bottom mount... honest mistake. I don't practice my skater jargon often. Thanks for making me look more of an idiot! GAH! But really, thanks. I probably would have called them that forever. lol.
